PRIDE
Saron Gas Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Take it. Break it. Rape it. Forsake it.
In time you will
Find it. Maim it. Thrill it and shame it
In time you will
Steal my pride
Leave me blind
Steal my pride
Take it. Break it. Rape it. Forsake it.
Take it. Break it. Rape it. Forsake it.
In time you will
Find me. Maim me. Thrill me and shame me.
In time you will

Steal my pride
Leave me blind
Steal my pride
And leave me blind, blind, blind now.
Leave me blind, blind, blind now.

I am silence sent to find you
I am violence sent to find you
I am silence sent to find you
I am violence sent to fuck you up

Take me and break me. Rape me. Forsake me.
In time you will
Find me and maim me and thrill me and shame me
In time you will
Hate me. Hate me. Hate me. Hate me.
Well now kill me. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me.

Steal my pride
Leave me blind
Steal my pride

And leave me blind, blind, blind now.
Leave me blind, blind, blind now.

This is the best version, i remember when Barney Simon used this as his bed track on his 5FM gig guide. Quite a few of the Saron Gas version are better than the commercial Seether versions, but Seether SO rock. GET THIS ALBUM IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT!

@TheNewNewfie

I love the end blind thing. Wish they kept it. This is awesome!

@disclaimer05

As FindTheBody explained, Seether's former band name was Saron Gas. They changed their name to Seether when they came over to the US (from South Africa) in 2001 because saron gas sounds too simular to a type of deadly nerve agent. This is the original version of "Pride" from when they were Saron Gas. It has obviously been altered some since.

@regnama

great song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seether rocks!!

@FindTheBody

This version of this song is much better than the disclaimer remake but its AMAZING.

@FindTheBody

And Saron Gas (Seether) originated in South Africa. This CD was only released in South Africa. So, there are different standards.
