Sava Lyrics

sem ösp í holti.
fallin at fraendum
sem fura at kvisti.
vadin at vilja
sem vidr at laufi
pá er in kvistskoeda
kemr um dag varman.
The lyrics of Sava's song Vadin at vilja are a combination of Icelandic and Old Norse, which makes the interpretation of the lyrics quite challenging. However, it appears to be a song about the natural cycle of life, death, and rebirth. The first few lines translate to "Alone I stood like a god in a forest clearing. Fallen to friends like a pinecone to a branch." These lines suggest that the singer has a sense of power and strength within the natural environment that surrounds them. The next few lines read "Water from the stream/ That will feed the leaf/ In the crown of the tree/ Comes warm around dawn." These lines describe the vital role that water plays in nourishing the natural environment, allowing the plants to grow and thrive.
The overall message of the song appears to be that life is cyclical, and even though things may fall apart, new life will always spring forth. This theme is represented by the lines "Vadin at vilja/sem vidr at laufi," which roughly translates to "The river flows as the leaf does." The river represents the unstoppable and ever-changing force of nature, while the leaf represents the fragile beauty of life. The song's final line, "Pá er in kvistskoeda kemr um dag varman," which translates to "Then the warm sun comes to bring the forest to life," completes the cyclical narrative, emphasizing the return of life in the natural world.

Hello guys, how are you doing? :) Vadin at Vilja lyrics are from the poem Hamðismál, the last one from the Poetic Edda, and it was written in Old Norse language. Here is it: "Einstæð em ek orðin sem ösp í holti, fallin at frændum sem fura at kvisti, vaðin at vilja, sem viðr at laufi, þá er in kvistskæða kemr um dag varman."

@JellowCat I speak German too (plus French, Spanish and English) and of course I had noticed that she was not singing in German. I was only saying that Sava was a German band (see their official website if you're not convinced).
