There is another artist with the same name:
2) Savages is an electronic musician from Hungary, born in 1981 in Balassagyarmat and currently living in Budapest. He had classic musical education and played on trumpet for about 7 years, and then he got his first PC.
It was a turning-point and from that moment he was much more interested in making music with computers. His early demo tapes were inspired by the rave era and after the end of this period he became ‘more’ serious and open-minded to other musical styles like jazz, funk, soul, contemporary, etc.
Savages released his solo debut album (Five Finger Discount) in 2008 through Chameleon Records. In the same year he met Suefo (also a member of Vono Box) and they started working together on tracks and remixes. Since then they did remixes for !DelaDap, [dunkelbunt], Max Pashm, Rube, Kid Loco, [re:jazz], Danilo Venturi to name a few. The two members came from the same eclectic music scene of Budapest. They play downtempo, breaks, jazz, funk, hip-hop, dub, electro swing and all kinds of multikulti folk in their dj sets and they incorporate the same variety in their own music as well. These days they’re busy working on some new remixes and organising new clubnights to promote electroswing phenomena in Hungary.

I wouldn't make you feel so sad
I'm sure my shame would be gone
Is it human to adore life?
If only I'd hidden my lust
And starved a little bit more
If only I didn't ask for more
I adore life
If only I'd lived beyond regret
I wouldn't feel guilt for what I take
Is it human to ask for more?
Is it human to adore life?
I know evil when I see it
I know good and I just do it
If I hadn't been so starved
Is it human to adore life?
I understand the urgency of life
In the distance there is truth which cuts like a knife
Maybe I will die, maybe tomorrow, so I need to say
I adore life
If only I'd been more shy
And hid every tear I cried
If only I didn't wish to die
Is it human to adore life?
If only I didn't care so much
For the feel of your cold, cold touch
In every bed I leave behind
Is it human to adore life?
I understand the urgency of life
In the distance there is truth which cuts like a knife
Maybe I will die, maybe tomorrow, so I need to say
I adore life
I adore life
I adore life
I adore life
I adore life
Do you adore life?
I adore life
Do you adore life?
I adore life
Do you adore life?
I adore life
Do you adore life?
I adore life
Do you adore life?
I adore life
Do you adore life?

Do you adore life?

Do you adore life?
Savages's song "Adore" is a contemplative reflection on the human condition and our relationship with life itself. In the song, the singer reflects on their own desires, regrets, and questions if it is truly human to have these emotional conflicts. The repeated question throughout the song is "Is it human to adore life?", suggesting an underlying sense of vulnerability and uncertainty that is common to the human experience.
The lyrics portray a sense of conflicted desire, as the singer admits to wanting more from life and from those around them, while also feeling guilt and shame for those desires. The line "If only I didn't want the world, I wouldn't make you feel so sad" suggests a sense of responsibility for causing harm or sadness to others through their own wants and needs. The singer also reflects on the fleeting nature of life, acknowledging the urgency of it and the inevitability of death. In the face of this, they still assert that they adore life.
Despite the deep existential questions posed in the song, the overall tone is not despairing or nihilistic. Rather, it is a nuanced and introspective exploration of what it means to be human and the complexities of our emotional lives. The repeated refrain of "I adore life" serves as a declaration of love and appreciation for the world and all that it offers, even in the face of pain and uncertainty.
