Collision
Saves the Day Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics to Saves the Day's "Collision" seem to be exploring a feeling of fulfillment and contentment. The singer seems to feel complete and at peace, keeping time with time and feeling like they don't miss a thing. They reference a song lyric about the world having to learn to understand, even if not everyone believes the same thing. The singer seems to question this sentiment, wondering how ten million people could be wrong if they all believe the same thing. Despite a weight on their head, they still feel that they are right.
The song seems to be touching on themes of individuality, conformity, and questioning authority. The singer seems to be comfortable in their own skin, feeling complete and at peace with themselves. At the same time, they seem to be questioning the idea that the majority is always right and that we should all conform to the same beliefs. The lyric "if the world doesn't understand then the world has to learn" seems to challenge this idea, suggesting that perhaps it is the world that needs to change and not the individual.
Overall, "Collision" is a thought-provoking song that encourages the listener to think critically about their own beliefs and the beliefs of those around them.
