Train To Nowhere
Savoy Brown Lyrics

You can catch it if you want to ride
Don't you worry if it pass you by
You can catch it if you want to ride
Don't you worry if it pass you by
Lord you know the reason why
On this train till I die
Train I ride goes to God knows where
I don't know and I don't care
Train I ride goes to God knows where
I don't know and I don't care
If you aint got money don't despair
'Cause you don't have to pay no fare
Please now brother don't you ride this train
Ride the wrong rails, live your life in vain
Please now brother don't you ride this train
Ride the wrong rails, live your life in vain

KMET was a great station in the late 60s-mid 70s. i remember b. mitchell reed from his days as one of the WMCA "good guys" in NYC in the early-mid sixties.

Mr Smith

Don't forget B Mitchell Reed AKA BMR on KMET.

@mrmusic248 train to nowhere and tell mama were about the only cuts played on KMET; when the great jimmy rabbit had his free form show on KRLA-AM this was spun a whole bunch of times ; still sounds terrific

@Rabbi Ingber: WABX-FM in Detroit gave Savoy Brown quite a lot of air time in the late 60's.
Detroit loved them and the feeling was mutual.
Now, only Kim Simmonds keeps a touring band together.
What a great, unsung guitarist.

my very first concert ever...I believe 1970, maybe '71...savoy brown at the basketball gymnasium at california state university at northridge...this is near los angeles...this song nearly blew the windows out with the wall of speakers. by the way, the opening acts were linda rondstadt and the stone ponies and the flying burrito brothers...fun night

I always thought that this song would be a great number for my niece's high school marching band especially with the drums and horns.
