Scariot is a mixed bag of metal styles. Their first album, Deathforlorn, combined prog-metal clean vocals with low, clear death metal growls. Their 2nd album dropped the clean vocals for the most part, while their third, Strange to Numbers dropped most of the growling. The second album, Toungeless God was never officially released, the band however, published 300 copies independently. Their fourth album, Momentum Shift, was released in February 2007.
There has been a lot of different members in the band, and the only one still remaining from the start of the band is Daniel Olaisen. Because of this the band's style has changed a lot from album to album. At the moment the band is considered to be a studio band, because all the members are involved in different bands as well. Today the style of the band can be described as progressive power metal, and are often compared to Nevermore.

Scariot Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Your mind has been distorted
Paralyzed you follow the masses
Unable to stand on your own feet
Your choices have already been made
How can you obey the ignorant?
They pollute your mind with own judgement
Build you up. Tear you down. Rules to follow.
It's your eyes watching, but not your mouth talking
This anti human you try to be
How can it set you free?
It's your eyes watching, but not your mouth talking
This anti human you try to be
How can it set you free?
In Scariot’s song “Slaves,” the lyrics convey a message of people becoming slaves to societal expectations and conformity. The first line, “What have you become?” suggests that someone has changed, but not in a positive way. Their mind has been distorted, and they become paralyzed and unable to think for themselves. The imagery of following the masses is depicted through the line “Unable to stand on your own feet.” The next line, "Your choices have already been made," means that the person has lost control of their life and has allowed society to make decisions for them.
The lyrics continue to ask “how can you obey the ignorant?” This suggests that people are following blindly and accepting opinions without any question. Additionally, the line “they pollute your mind with their judgment” means that others are influencing your life and decision-making in a negatively manipulative way, leading to the never-ending circle that is built up and torn down, with rules to follow. The chorus repeats the message through the use of an anti-human ideology, which is not capable of setting the person free, and yet they cannot break this cycle. The final line, “It’s your eyes watching, but not your mouth talking,” implies that the person is aware of what’s happening but is unable to speak out or make any real changes.
