1) Scarlet was a UK duo from Hull. They originally consisted of Cheryl Parker (vocals, guitar) and Jo Youle (piano, keyboards, vocals). The group had a third member, Joanne Fox, but she left before the band had any major success.
The band had their first UK hit with "Independent Love Song" (UK #12) in 1995 featured in the film "Bed of Roses," which was followed by their album Naked (UK #53). The group's second UK single "I Wanna Be Free (To Be With Him)" became a minor hit (UK #21), but the next single "Love Hangover" flopped (UK #54).
In 1996, Scarlet issued a new single "Bad Girl", but this also stalled at #54. The album Chemistry missed the top 75 completely, and it was after this relative failure that WEA dropped the band and they went their separate ways.
2) Formed in Richmond, Virginia in 2000, Scarlet are a technical metalcore band who also utilize electronic elements. They released the EP 'Breaking the Dead Stare' in 2000 which was followed in 2003 by the more complex and experimental 'Something to Lust About' shortly after signing to Ferret Music. They released the concept album 'Cult Classic' in 2004 before deciding to call it a day.
However, in 2005, the group re-united with a revised line up to release 'This Was Always Meant to Fall Apart'. Their last lineup consisted of Andreas Magnusson (Drums/Electronics), Brandon Roundtree (Vocals), Randy Vanderbilt (Guitar/Vocals) and Bryan Tolbert (Guitar).
The band called it quits permanently after Roundtree (vocals) left the band in early 2007.
However their myspace hints slightly that this break may not be permanent.
3) Defunct Sydney band who recently reemerged as Luxury. Released an EP called "Siren" (1993) and one album called "Magnolia" (1995).
4) Scarlet is a Chinese jazz singer, from the record label TIS (Treasure Island), singing famous jazz standards.
5) Scarlet is an American post-rock, progressive, alternative, and acoustic band based out of St. Louis, MO. Current members are Jeremy Tripp, Katy Durrwachter, Jon Todd, John Pecher, and Ben May. Scarlet can be found easiest at www.myspace.com/wearescarlet and on Last.fm at last.fm/wearescarlet. They are expected to release their debut EP in 2009.
6) Scarlet was a 6-member (some websites state four member), female K-pop group formed by Funny Collection Entertainment that appeared in 2014, released two singles and permanently disbanded sometime in 2015. Although debuting as a 6-member group (Sara, JiHye, Kimi, Rabyuel, Yerim and Aromi), it's been stated on some websites that it was announced sometime that same year that Yerim and Aromi would be leaving and Scarlet reformed as a 4-member group to release Hip Song. There is still some confusion on this point as although the claim of reforming as a four member group is made across a few sites, five members are in the music video for Hip Song - Sara, JiHye, Kimi, Rabyuel and Aromi. After Scarlet disbanded, Kimi joined another K-pop group, BULLDOK.
7) Scarlet (Styalized as 'SCARLET') is a metal group from Sweden, founded on 22nd September, 2017. Led by vocalist Scarlet Hunts. Debut album 'Obey The Queen' will be released on November 13th, 2020, via Arising Empire.
8) Scarlet is a hard rock/heavy metal band from Columbus, Ohio, USA, that was formed in 1982

Scarlet Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
This antichrist is coming to kill your young.
Armageddon well packaged and formatted for your tv screen.
Load your firearms because security is a warm warm gun.
Give us more desperation because it works for me. With fagged out politicians and pop star rape machines.
Give us more isolation because it works for me.
Give us more medication so we can run away from another day.
In this song, Scarlet seems to be commenting on the state of modern American society, particularly in regards to the media and the government. The opening line, "The sky is falling on a tv screen," suggests that the news and other forms of media are constantly bombarding us with doom and gloom, making it seem like the world is ending. This fear-mongering is all part of the so-called "American Dream," which has become distorted and twisted into something much darker and more dangerous.
Scarlet then goes on to talk about the "antichrist," or some sort of figure who represents everything that is wrong with this new version of the American Dream. This figure is coming to "kill your young," further emphasizing the fear and paranoia that seems to permeate everything. The idea of Armageddon being "well packaged and formatted for your tv screen" suggests that even the end of the world is being commodified and sold to us as entertainment.
