In December 2013, after a year of writing and working through each band members schedule Scars of Amber made their way back to Producer Brett Hestla to finish up Scars of Amber's debut release for 2014.
Members include Jonathan Montoya, rhythm guitarist who has played in a couple well known bands such as Saliva and Full Devil Jacket. On lead guitar is Virus who has played for bands such as Dope, Lords of Acid, and Device. On drums is Will Hunt who has played for bands such as Evanesence, Dark New Day, Device, Black Label Society and Static X just to name a few. On bass is Dave Benedict who has played for the Canadian rock band Default.
2014 is sure to bring Scars of Amber to the world arena and this will be a band that no rock and roll lover will want to miss! With Will Hunt's hard hitting, solid, creative drum playing, Jonathan Montoya's Heavy and edgy rhthyms, Virus's intense and flawless leads, Dave Benedicts hard soul shaking bass lines, and Phillip Calfy's unique vocal quality, this will be a band nobody wants to miss.

The song Apologize by Scars of Amber seems to delve into the theme of hopelessness and desperation caused by being molded by the world into someone you don't recognize anymore.
