Movement. It brings inevitable change through connection. This is what Schaeffer seeks to bring to the world with creativity, endurance, and hope in their music...a better ability to connect, which creates movement, which brings change. Idealistic? Unrealistic? Perhaps, but if Schaeffer settled for anything less right out of the gate, then what would be the point?
Places of discovery, times of skepticism, moments of doubt, and revelations of truth all played their part in the forming of the album No Ordinary People. With the tenacity to be genuinely honest in all that they do, songs that stand out from others in modern music, and performances impossible to forget, its obvious both where and how Schaeffer will be standing wherever they go...connected.

All Of Us
Schaeffer Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
He kisses her lips and she was calm the whole night through
While down the hall Sarah says her peace to her dad
They embrace. She says goodbye to the only man she'll ever know
She's waiting for a sign
She's praying to the sky
All the walks around and round but when will she come down
She leaves him a note and packs up her things
She's waiting for a sign
She's praying to the sky
All the walks around and round but when will she come down
See we all just want a little piece of home to carry us
And we all just want to feel like we're loved for the life of us
Oh beauty, calm your mind. You will be there.
This life is more than just some comfort everywhere.
We all just want a little piece of home to carry us
And we all just want to feel like we're loved for the life of us
The lyrics of Schaeffer's song "All Of Us" depict different stories that are woven together. The first verse talks about the birth of a new life that causes a ripple effect across the whole world. The love between two people reflected in the second line provides a sense of calmness that transcends the individual moment. Meanwhile, Sarah, the singer of the second story, is saying goodbye to her father, who is perhaps passing away. Waiting for a sign and praying to the sky, Sarah is searching for some comfort and solace in the midst of a chaotic world.
The third story is about an abusive relationship where the singer (presumably female) decides to leave her partner. The lyrics depict her cycle of disappointment and hope, walking around in search of something better. The chorus of the song brings these stories together and highlights the human yearning for a sense of belonging, comfort, and love. The line "we all just want a little piece of home to carry us" implies that home symbolizes more than just a physical place, it represents a sense of security and belonging that we all crave.
Overall, the song speaks about the fragility and complexity of human lives, and the desire to be loved and supported. Through different stories and experiences, Schaeffer reminds us that we are all connected and looking for similar things in life.

My grandmother was so heartbroken when Rebecca died. I didn’t realize she even knew who she was. I think about this all the time.

Rebecca Schaeffer was one of a kind! An authentic person that never saw herself as a celebrity figure but more so a working actress living her dreams and I don't think she would have sold out later on if she had lived much longer, because she was so dedicated to her religious beliefs and connected with the most high. Very natural, and upbeat.
Until this psychotic demonic wolf in sheep clothing hunted her down and took her life because of his own evil obsessions and what he saw of a person on TV. He may have escaped the death penalty, but he won't escape judgment which is gonna be a bad one when his time comes because he's being spiritually tortured which is even worse. So he'll burn in the lake of fire when he faces the Lord. And so would his family!
She's in a better place in the spirit world, so she's at peace and doesn't have to deal with this evil sick world... May her beautiful soul Rest In Paradise! X
