The opening lines "I bless the day I found you / I want to stay around you" suggests unimaginable joy upon finding someone the singer values greatly in their life. They acknowledge their presence as something that enhances their existence, and so plead with the person to choose them above others by saying "And so I beg you, Let it be me."

The second verse "Don't take this heaven from one / If you must cling to someone" conveys a sense of desperation and despair regarding the fear of losing this person that the singer seems to hold very dear. The stanza suggests that the person is in high demand and that they are scared that they might lose them to someone else. The singer asks them to dedicate themselves entirely to them, stating "Now and forever / Let it be me."

The chorus repeated twice further emphasizes their need to be around this person with the lines, "Each time we meet, love / I find complete love / Without your sweet love / What would life be?" The singer sees this person's love as the ultimate source of happiness and satisfaction, stating that if they were without it, what is the point of living?
