[[b]1] A pseudonym of dub musician Hopeton Brown (aka Overton Brown), from Kingston, Jamaica). Brown burst onto the reggae scene in the early '70s with a reckless mixing style that seemed to outdo even King Tubby's wildest extravaganzas. He began his career as an engineer at Tubby's in 1978. Shortly afterwards he became a Tubby protégé and, by 1980, had gained a reputation with a distinctive mixing style.
He became worldwide known after Rockstar Games used his album 'Scientist Rids the World of the Curse Of the Vampires' in 2001.

Decir que lo siento
No sabes lo hermosa que estas
Quise encontrarte
Decir que te extraño
Que no te queria alejar
Dime tus secretos, pregunta los mios
These lyrics are in Spanish and can be loosely translated to:
"I came to see you
To say I'm sorry
You don't know how beautiful you are
I wanted to find you
To say that I miss you
That I didn't want to push you away
Tell me your secrets, ask me for mine"
The song Dark Side by Scientist talks about the desire to reconcile after a breakup. The first two lines, "I came to see you, to say I'm sorry," express the singer's guilt and their effort to make amends. The next two lines, "You don't know how beautiful you are, I wanted to find you," suggest that the singer may have taken their partner for granted or failed to appreciate them fully until the relationship ended. The line "To say that I miss you, that I didn't want to push you away" conveys that the singer regrets whatever actions led to the breakup and wishes to reconnect with their ex.
The final line, "Tell me your secrets, ask me for mine," reveals the singer's hope for intimacy and emotional openness in the reconciliation. Overall, the lyrics convey a mix of regret, admiration, and longing for connection.
