Rock 'n' Roll ain't pretty and neither is Scott H. Biram. The self proclaimed "Dirty Old One Man Band" successfully, and sometimes violently, lashes together blues, hillbilly and country precariously to raucous punk and godless metal. Biram ain't no dour ass singer/songwriter either, sweetly strumming songs about girls with big eyes and dusty highways. HELL NO!!! His singing, yodeling, growling, leering and brash preachin' and hollerin' is accompanied by sloppy riffs and licks from his 1959 Gibson guitar and pounding backbeat brought forth by his amplified left foot. The remainder of this one-man band consists of an unwieldy combination of beat-up amplifiers and old microphones strung together by a tangled mess of guitar cables.
Years of non-stop touring have honed his assault to a fine edge; his wide-eyed throwdowns in the First Church of Ultimate Fanaticism routinely lead giddy followers to a fiery baptism.
NO WAY

I don′t want be anyone if I can't be myself
I don't want to be him, don′t be her, don′t be you, or be nobody else
Yeah, but sometimes I feel like there could be a change
A little rearrange, a little something better
There ain't no way I′m gonna put my foot in there
Oh, that big black pool I been dreaming about
Oh, to figure it out
No way, no way, no way
No way I'm gonna put my foot in there
Well, I dreamed I saw an avalanche coming down on me
It′s coming down hard and I's running real far
And it kept coming down and the only sound
Was the sound of crying I couldn't tell if it was tears of joy
Or tears of my momma ′cause her only son was dying
There ain′t no way I'm gonna put my foot in there
Oh, that big black pool I been dreaming about
Yeah, it′s my dream, and I can't seem
Oh, to figure it out
Yeah, it looks like I stepped in it this time
No way, no way, no way
No way I′m gonna put my foot in there
The lyrics to Scott H. Biram's song "No Way" are about authenticity and individuality. The singer is declaring that he refuses to conform to societal expectations and will not sacrifice his true self for anyone or anything. He refuses to put his foot in "that big black pool," which can be interpreted as a metaphor for the pressures to conform and the fear of losing oneself in the process. The singer acknowledges that while a change may be needed, it must be on his own terms and in a way that allows him to remain true to himself.
The second half of the song focuses on a dream the singer had about an avalanche. The avalanche can be seen as a metaphor for the pressures and challenges that life can bring. The dream is filled with fear and uncertainty, and the singer is running from it. The tears of joy or tears of his mother can represent the complex emotions that arise from facing difficult situations. Ultimately, the singer reiterates his commitment to staying true to himself and not succumbing to the pressures to conform.
Overall, the lyrics to "No Way" encourage listeners to stay true to themselves and resist the pressures of society to conform. The song acknowledges the challenges and difficulties of this path but asserts that it is worth it to remain authentic.
