Some individuals are facing more challenges than before due to the flawed system

People in charge unfairly judge and restrict individuals from what they can rightfully obtain

With lines that they've rehearsed
Those in power repeat the same justifications for their actions, showing they lack genuine concern

Brothers we are patient
We must continue being patient and persevering through hardships

And in the rocky ground we work
We face difficulties in achieving our goals, but we continue working despite them

My hammer is a chorus
My voice and the voices of others are a powerful tool for change

And my shovel is a verse
My words and actions, like a shovel, help me make progress towards my goals

I can't snap my fingers
I can't instantaneously fix everything that's wrong in the world

Make the problems go away
Eradicate major issues and challenges that plague individuals and society

Change is God's department
Change and progress is God's domain, and is in many ways out of human control

And I file my complaints
I voice my concerns and advocate for change whenever possible

Sisters we are patient
We, as a collective, endure and persevere through tough times

And in the trying times we wait
Through tough and challenging times, we must have the patience to wait for the good and better things to come

Music is the weapon
Music is a powerful tool to combat negativity and hate

With which love conquers hate
Music (love) can help overcome animosity and hostility
