This might be one of my favorite shanties, especially if you look at it as a funeral dirge. Her is mother earth and Johnny is being guided to the after life by the singers. I honestly want this song played at my funeral, as well as that one wardruna song.

This is my goddaughter's favourite song. I've sung it to her - your version from AC, actually - since she was a few days old. She is nearly three years old now and it still calms her down instantly if she is upset. Whenever she stays at my place I sing it to her to fall asleep to. It's so amazing to see these videos, growing up AC4 was one of if not my favorite game, and the shanties were the highlight. Sitting at home writing, walking home from school, etc. I'd listen to the songs and it eventually got me interested in shanties and the sea as a whole. All the time I'll be talking with people and the subject of the game or shanties will come up and people always share my love of both, and it's heartwarming to see these traditional songs gaining popularity. You're doing great work in keeping a traditional art alive.
