Weigh-hay and up she rises
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Early in the morning!
What will we do with a drunken sailor
What will we do with a drunken sailor
What will we do with a drunken sailor
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Early in the morning!
Put 'em in the scuppers with a hose pipe on him
Put 'em in the scuppers with a hose pipe on him
Put 'em in the scuppers with a hose pipe on him
Early in the morning!
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Early in the morning!
Put him in the brig until he's sober
Put him in the brig until he's sober
Put him in the brig until he's sober
Early in the morning!
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Weigh-hay and up she rises
Weigh-hay and up she rises
The song "Drunken Sailor" is a traditional sea shanty that was sung by sailors on ships during the 19th century. The song talks about the consequences of being a drunken sailor and what should be done to deal with them. The opening lines "Weigh-hay and up she rises" are a reference to the raising of the anchor, which was a laborious task on a ship. The repetition of this phrase emphasizes the effort required to perform this task and suggests the need for unity and coordination among the crew.
The chorus of the song asks the question "What will we do with a drunken sailor?" and repeats it three times. This suggests that the crew is unsure of how to handle the situation of a drunken sailor and is possibly looking for guidance from the captain. The subsequent verses offer different solutions to the problem. The lines "Put 'em in the scuppers with a hose pipe on him" suggest forcefully washing the sailor with cold water, while "Put him in the brig until he's sober" suggests confinement until they are deemed fit to work again.

It's really weird, whenever you hear these shanties, you just go back to an era that just didn't exist for you. You know it's like having a nostalgia of an adventure that you were never a part of. Our generation is so bound by the shackles of technology that we can't live an adventurous life even if we want to, it's kinda sad.

Your comment can work as the best review for the game. Ubisoft did a good job creating an immersive world.

It ain't technology binding us, friend. It's the shackles of servitude, of work without reward, of the aristocrat's cruel yoke.
A pirate's life for me, friend, and, i hope, for thee.

Man I feel ya. But if you think about it our generation wouldn't last a second in that era, maybe it sucks to live in that era, who could know is dead after all
