1. A British Band.
2. A modern rock band based out of Columbus, Ohio.
3. A band from Tucson Arizona
1.Deeply moving and heavy on grandiose atmosphere, soaring vocals and crushing riffs, Season’s End’s debut album The Failing Light elegantly demonstrates that you need not travel to Scandinavia to find perfectly crafted symphonic metal. Having spent the last three years honing a sound that transcends the boundaries of gothic metal, this Hampshire based sextet have created an album that is both astoundingly fresh and incredibly mature; qualities that can be attributed to the band’s refusal to resort to tired clichés. “We always strive to stay true to ourselves when writing,” states lead vocalist Becki Clark, “we don’t deliberately try and conform to any stereotypes or conventions; we make the music that we’d like to hear”. It is this attitude that truly sets Season’s End apart in a genre that is all too often characterised by rigidly set formulae and has helped propel them into the collective consciousness of Britain’s burgeoning underground metal scene.

I can't gush enough about Steve Rothery's guitar playing. It's so wonderful. He doesn't over-play. He adds so much colour, warmth and mood to Marillion songs.
TB
Steve R, just like Alex Lifeson of Rush fame, never overplay or overshadow the intent of the song.
That's not something easy to do as well as they've done.
Welsh Techie
@TB Also David Gilmour of Pink Floyd! Sweep pickers I detest these are emotional dream players. Never ceases to amaze me! I adore Marillion old and new!!
John RAMBO
This is what we call "talent and genius" !!
LM H
I agree, he’s become my favourite guitar player.
Paul Wiley
Up there with the very best guitar players a bit Gilmour a bit Latimer but a lot of Rothery magic
Middle Aged Pixie
One of Marillions' best songs. I feel like they are such an underrated band. Steve's voice is the best 🧡

Yes... it is so full of nuances and expressiveness. The more time passes, the better I can appreciate its complexity.
tim williams
They aren't underrated, this comment always appears for some bizarre reason. Do you like them?
Old Griff
A band that never ever disappoints technically, musically or vocally..
