Angel Of Mercy
(Bob Wilson)

Love is what we shout
But the empty words is what this world
Can do without
Life is what we need
For the starving soul of mankind is a shame indeed
Truth is hard to believe
When the standart of the world is to lie, cheat,
And deceive
First comes power, and then comes greed
The more we get, the more we get,
The more we need
People won't you get down on your knees,
And pray this pray with me
Send us an angel of mercy, send us an angel of love
Send us an angel of mercy, send us an angel of love
Send us an angel of mercy, send us an angel of love
I'm the baby, born alone
I'm the child crying in the night that love's
Never known
I'm the sadness, in a sad song
I'm a world full of sorrow, where love has gone
But mighty is a word of love, when love becomes love,
A common sight
And mighty is the truth, when the truthful word is
Livin' in every life
So people won't you get down on your knees,
And pray this pray with me
So people won't you get down on your knees,
And pray this pray with me
Send us an angel of mercy, send us an angel of love

Send us an angel of mercy, send us an angel of love
Send us an angel of mercy, send us an angel of love

Overall Meaning

Seawind's "Angel of Mercy" is a call for love and truth in a world filled with greed and deceit. The song starts with the recognition that love is something we talk about, but our actions often contradict our words. Instead of love, the world is full of empty promises and lies. The lyrics show how power and greed have become the driving force of our society. People are always wanting more, and this endless cycle of wanting leads to a deprivation of the soul. The plea is for an angel of mercy to come and provide the love and compassion that the world needs.

Underrated horn section. I Saw sea wind horns many moons ago backing up sweet comfort band
it was the first Christian concert I went to. As soon as I walked in the church and saw the band set up I knew it gonna be great and it was.
