All My Friends Are Dead
Sebastian Bach Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

All my friends are dead
I'm left all alone
Still I live & breathe
We are the left behind
Condemned to prophesize
Eternal rest in peace

Your turn to rescue me
It's too late to turn back now

Whoa. All my friends are dead. Whoa.
And I don't have time to live a lie
& it's too late to wonder why
Too late to turn back time again
'Cause all my friends are dead

All the days gone by
Mistaken for a ride
Ultimate sacrifice
We are what we destroy
Discarded like some toy
A child's game of dice... to play

All my friends are dead.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Sebastian Bach's song All My Friends Are Dead describes someone who has lost all of their friends and feels completely alone. Despite being the only one left, the singer is still alive and breathing. They are now in a position where they are forced to prophesize about the eternal life that their friends have now been given. The singer realizes that it's too late to turn back from this fate and wishes someone would rescue them from this life.

The lyrics are powerful and emotional as they expose the truth of the finality of death and the loneliness it can bring to those left behind. The phrase "all my friends are dead" is repeated throughout the song to emphasize the sense of loss and despair. The singer also acknowledges that it's too late to live a lie and wonder why their friends had to die. The final lines of the song serve as a realization that it's too late to try to turn back time and make changes to their fate. They are now stuck with the consequences of their choices and must come to terms with the loss they have experienced.

Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.

He's not trying to be a rock star. He's always been one. Great voice

@CarrieLuikens

Sebastian Bach is the real deal. This is what a real rock singer looks like. He has always been a very passionate singer and performer. He still has the best male voice out of all the hard rock-metal bands that came out of the 80s-90s.

I’m 57 and have listened to him his entire career. I own my own restaurant and bar, and a bakery as well. I pop my ear buds in and rock this dude constantly. His music has always got my ass in gear, whether working out, or working.
