The title track from “Gonna Getcha” was immediately picked up by the hit TV series DeGrassi: The Next Generation. The episode featuring the song was aired on the N Network in the USA in February 2008 and on the CTV Network in Canada in March 2008.
Their third album “Weightless” made Canadian recording history. The album’s title track was certified by BDS as being “the highest charted independent song on the rock chart since the inception of BDS”.
The “Weightless” single reached number 9 on the rock chart, number 6 on the Top 40 Chart, number 5 on the all Canadian chart, and number 1 in Quebec for the French translation “Décoller”. The follow-up single “Terrified/Terrifié” also climbed the Canadian CHR charts in both languages.
The Canadian Association of Broadcasters gave See Spot Run the “Breakout Single of The Year Award” and the band was awarded the “Concert of the Year Award” by Wired Magazine shortly thereafter.
Since releasing their second album “TEN STORIES HIGH”, See Spot Run has had 5 charting singles, 5 videos played on MuchMusic, done 7 cross Canada tours, appeared on a multitude of Canadian and international television shows, and done hundreds of interviews.
See Spot Run was the first band to launch an album at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. The band has also sung the national anthems for the Toronto Raptors and performed at an NFL tailgate party for the Buffalo Bills.
See Spot Run was formed in Montreal by Chris Brodbeck and Randy Bowen and is based in Toronto today. Also in the band are hot young Toronto musicians Fudge (drummer) and Aaron Little (guitar).
“Weightless” and “Ten Stories High” were recorded in Montreal and produced by Gary Moffet (Sass Jordan, April Wine).

Living with a guy like me who's always in outer space
Maybe I don't know what's good for me
I never thought a girl like you could ever change my ways
Lately I've been feeling uneasy
Thought it might it have been something I said I didn't mean
If you get to know me much better
You make me weightless
When I get home I float around my whole living room
You make it painless
Like I am on acetaminophen all the time
Tracy my sister thinks I'm crazy
Going for a girl who's gonna leave me in the end
I don't know but I'm gonna chance it
You never know with this kinda thing
Anything could change
You make me weightless
When I get home I float around my whole living room
You make it painless
Like I am on acetaminophen all the time
All the time
You make me weightless
When I get home I float around my whole living room
You make it painless
Like I am on acetaminophen all the time
Yeah
The lyrics to See Spot Run's song "Weightless" are a reflection on the singer's relationship with his partner. The singer is aware that he is not an easy person to live with and acknowledges that he often lives in his head and is out of touch with reality. He feels like he may not know what is good for him, but he is surprised that someone like his partner could change his ways. The singer also admits to feeling uneasy and fears that he may have said something wrong, but he assures his partner that it is never his intention to be mean.
The chorus, "You make me weightless, when I get home I float around my whole living room. You make it painless, like I am on acetaminophen all the time," expresses the singer's love and affection towards his partner. He describes the feeling of weightlessness and the idea that his partner makes everything easier and more enjoyable. The comparison to acetaminophen suggests that being with his partner is like a pain reliever that he needs all the time.
Overall, the song focuses on the singer's appreciation for his partner and how she has changed his life for the better. It also explores the idea that even though his sister might think he's crazy for taking a chance on this relationship, he is willing to risk it all for love.
