Seemless were a stoner rock band formed by ex-Shadows Fall drummer Derek Kerswill, Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach, ex-Overcast guitarist Pete Cortese, and ex-Medium bassist Jeff Fultz. Hailing from Massachusetts, Seemless is one of the few non-metalcore acts to come out of that area and make a mark on the hard rock scene.
Formed in 2002 following Leach's departure from Killswitch Engage, Seemless was signed to Equal Vision Records, and released their first self-titled LP 2003. They toured extensively over the next year, quickly making a mark on the stoner rock scene with their mixture of soul and blues elements. However, the group never really got out from under the shadow of the acts that the members used to be in until the release of 2006's What Have We Become, which really boosted Seemless into the scene. Tours with the likes of Trivium, The Sword, In Flames, Lacuna Coil, and Fu Manchu garnered Seemless even more recognition, and they are soon to be featured on mainstream radio, with a remixed version of the single Eyes of a Child.
The band announced on 25th June 2009 that they have called it quits. They will be playing their final show in September 2009.
In This Life
Seemless Lyrics

Reminds me
Of our mortality
Our days are few
So hold close to the time we have
In this life
Into your hands
A sacrifice, a path of life
That pacifies
To reveal the beauty
Of this life
Watching the sun rise and set
Fills me with a realization
I wanna' do what's right
I struggle
I want to say what's right
I struggle
Everything you do comes back to you
What have you done
With the life you've been given
The lyrics to Seemless's song "In This Life" speak to the fleeting nature of human existence and the need to make the most of the time we have. The imagery of the rising and falling tide and the rising and setting sun underscore the impermanence of life and the need to appreciate every moment. The song encourages listeners to hold close to the time they have, to make sacrifices and take paths that lead to a fulfilling life.
The lyrics also touch on the struggle to do what's right and make the most of the time we have. The lines "I want to do what's right / I struggle / I want to say what's right / I struggle" reflect the constant internal battle between our desires and our sense of duty. The song suggests that the key to a fulfilling life is finding a balance between these forces, and that everything we do comes back to us in the end.
