I want to catch you when you fall
I want to be the one you need
I want to be the one you breathe
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll find our way around
I want to be there when you cry
And when you're down I'll help you fly
I want to be the one you need
I want to be the one you breathe
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll find our way around
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
But I'm coming back
And I'm taking back everything I can
It's breaking me up and tearing me up
It's all I have
And I'm coming back
And I'm taking back everything I can
It's breaking me up and tearing me up
It's all I have
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll find our way around
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll fade away, oh
Today's the day we'll fade away
The lyrics to Seether's song "Fade Away" appear to be about wanting to be there for someone and be their support system. The singer of the song wants to catch the other person when they fall, be the one that they need, and be the person that they breathe. The chorus of the song repeats the idea that today is the day that they will fade away, but it's unclear whether this is a positive or negative thing.
Throughout the song, there is a sense of wanting to be there for someone who is struggling, but at the same time, there seems to be a recognition that the situation is not sustainable. The line "It's breaking me up and tearing me up, it's all I have" suggests that the singer is giving everything they have to be there for this person, but it's taking a toll on them.
The repetition of "today's the day we'll fade away" in the chorus could be interpreted in a few ways. It could be a reflection of the idea that nothing lasts forever, and that eventually everything fades away. It could also be seen as an opportunity to start fresh and leave behind the difficulties of the past.

There's only 1song that I didn't like. They're badass in concert. Moshed so hard, caught the attention of the lead singer. One of my favorite moments in life. We looked at eachother in the eyes. He appreciated how much I loved their music, and I appreciated them for making that music. I was extremely high during that concert. But I'll never forget that sh**. That was 2008
