And I have been haunted by these things I still have left to say
I'm weary of fighting this alone
So tired of holding on to strings much better left to fray
And I said
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me down
When all I want is just the truth
I'm wilted and faded after all
Too strung out and burnt out to be half the man that I could be
I'll never belong inside your world
So black out the sun and leave me to play out the same old tragedy
And I said
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me out
And this seems too complicated
When all I want is just the truth
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me out
And this seems too complicated
When all I want is just the truth
You're my savior after all
Use your flame to guide me home
And then lay your hand on me
And I said
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me down
And this seems so complicated
When all I want is just the truth
Hear me now here and now I'm calling
Memories wear me out
And this seems too complicated
When all I want is a part of you
The lyrics to Seether's song "Here and Now" depict a sense of fear and weariness while reflecting on past memories and mistakes. The first verse describes the singer's fear and the haunting thoughts of things left unsaid. They are tired of fighting alone and holding onto things that should have been let go a long time ago. The second verse talks about feeling burnt out, not fitting into someone else's world, and feeling like they are living out the same old tragedy over and over again.
The chorus of the song expresses a plea to be heard and remembered, to speak the truth, and to find simplicity in a complicated situation. The final passage hints at a need for salvation and guidance from a higher power, with the line "You're my savior after all, use your flame to guide me home, and then lay your hand on me."
Overall, the lyrics of the song convey a sense of vulnerability, desperation, and a need for guidance in a complex and confusing world.

Seether had released their debut album Disclaimer a couple months after I was born. My mother's favorite band, I grew up from birth listening to them even when I couldn't understand any words they said, growing up, I recognized lyrics and music that I would realize is Seether, now over the years, Seether has done so much for me I owe them my life. They helped me realize that no matter what happens, no matter who is in the way, I have a place in this world, even if the odds are stacked against me. They made me realize I'm not alone in this world. They made me feel what I hadn't felt in years, they made me feel ALIVE. They gave me a way to pass the time, they gave me reasons to laugh, to cry, to smile. I feel ecstatic whenever I look at the comments of "Rise Above This" and see the thousands of people saying that the song helped them "Rise Above" their problems. Shaun, you are my role model, I've heard your stories through interviews and your art, and I hope that one day I, along with your amazing community, give you enough reason to never feel empty, alone, suicidal, whatever the case. I grew as Seether grew, and I would have it no other way. May I meet you and the guys at Rise Above Fest someday, and have a great time singing along with the fans.
