I hate to admit this...but I used one and I loved the experience: I did not feel rushed to place my order...I was able to view everything they had available...and I got exactly what I wanted at the cost I was willing to pay.

Japan 20 years ago. Noodle or beef bowl restaurants will likely have ordering ticket machines and helps streamline the process with taking orders and serving. Very convenient being cash friendly with higher coin monetary values.

Walking up to the counter and ordering with a person is MUSH faster and more accurate. A lot more sanitary also. When you use the kiosk, you're exchanging germs with the previous 50 people that used it. On my last trip to McDonald's there was a couple punching away at the kiosk. I walked past them, placed my order, and received my food and they were still tapping away.

Over cleanliness makes for a weak immune system. You see people with OCD and germ phobia looking frail and even common cold can be fatal for them.. because their immune system wasn’t exercised very well

I enjoy the new kiosks but they're constantly covered in grime. An employee should clean these frequently to prevent customers from getting sick when they inevitably eat without washing their hands after touching this screen.

Lmfao, my friend ordered 10 peanut packs since the condiments are free and then I tried with ordering vinegar ketchup and shit and a guy came up with nothing and asked me if my order was a joke and I said no, then he said have you finished your food looking at my tray and I said yes and he told me not to waste his time and almost got kicked out.

It’s getting ridiculous!! SO.. went to McDonald’s, the cashier comes from around the counter to “assist “ each customer 1 by 1 using this dam thing , then takes the ticket to the register to pay, twice as long and order is still wrong!! Customer service, value, and experience dies more each year!!!🤦‍♂️🤬

since mcdonalds workers are so poorly paid, we subsidize their waged with tax credits so in effect the tax payer is paying multinationals hundreds of millions every year to employ their staff, crazy low wage economy like ours..

It's nice having them, if they weren't still disabled due to COVID. If employees were told to sanitize the screens with a wipe, you wouldn't have to worry about COVID spreading.

Not many people seem to like this, but I do. Talking to cashiers SUCK, I get nervous every time. The first time I tried it it was kinda confusing. The second time was great. I'll make sure to bring hand sanitizer, no big deal.

Jim Thomas Tbh washing hands is always the responsibility of our own so if we get germs because we didn't wash then we get fucked, but i do think they should sanitize and clean the screen every once in a while.

Good and not so good as with everything. Obvious move in the customer service area to expedite ordering process. Beware of cross contamination. Wash hands after placing order. They should opt in favor of voice activated kiosk but probably won't be effective for obvious noise intrusions, intended or otherwise, lol!

Coasts; at one time; the MD in this tiny town had customers! (was almost always crowded before this fiasco now it's like a ghost restaurant!! I asked the one other person in there what they thought; answers they had to go to the counter and use a human! I just left!

Yes whatever this shit shuts down in the middle of a tropical storm you are assed out. Everyone still runs to Burger King , Wawa, Cumberland Farms or a food truck. No worries. That looks having your phone hooked up to your cable company. It is not a good idea.

Fast forward 4 years, post pandemic, McDonald's can't find enough employees to run their stores... what do they do? Shut down the self ordering kiosks, making each store require more employees to stay open. 🤦‍♂️

Today 17aug 2019, my family and i were obliged to leave the Macdonald of Port louis, Mauritius caused an employee was cleaning the 1st floor with detergent ,javel, while we were dining at about 21hr..it was very annoying , unbreathable, causing inconveniences, we were about to throw up .Macdo is supposed to close at 23hrs. The employee told my kids to leave the kids corner at about 9.pm . We are disappointed with the service.

Tried one this morning in Everett Was. They suck. Confusing and slow. I walked out and went to Jack in the Box for breakfast. I didn't know Jack uses fresh whole eggs in their sandwiches.

The "pay at counter" orders are only sent to the kitchen after the order is paid at the cashier. Orders that aren't paid are simply cancelled after a certain period of time.

I actually havent had mcdonalds since they installed all these robots...i dont have a cell, no tablets..and it seems you need one to get mcdonalds now..went to 4 of them..and noone serves you anymore..i dont even know where or how to pay..likely with a phone lol. Just went to one tonight..no cashiers anymore..you need a phone to buy a big mac lol..that was my last attmept..sticking with harvey's and burger king.

I’m sorry but your touch screen menu together with “options” is a complete load of rubbish. I have tried on many occasions to order in one of your restaurants……I do not understand it. On each occasion I have to ask for help. What on on earth is wrong with approaching a desk to order.

No, it cost 10,000 $ to instal 1. So after few monts, you save $$$ on less staff needed. Anyway, I order from phone app 5min before I get there. No need to touch dirty public screen, is ready before I even get there
