After more than a decade in relative obscurity, Argentina-born crooner Semino Rossi emerged as one of the biggest singing stars in Central Europe. Born in Rosario, Argentina, on May 29, 1962, Rossi arrived in Austria in 1986, working as a hotel singer. In the years to follow he spent the summer months in Spain and the winter season in Austria, eventually settling full-time in Innsbruck. There Rossi joined the Worldmasters für Lateinamerikanische Tänze in 1995, culminating in 2001 when he was crowned Weltmeister in Lateinamerikanischer Musik at the world championship in Japan. That same year Rossi signed to Universal, in 2004 releasing his first German-language LP, Alles Aus Liebe. Tausend Rosen für Dich followed a year later, climbing into the German Top Ten and solidifying Rossi's growing stature. He closed out 2005 with a holiday album, Feliz Navidad. With 2006's Ich Denk an Dich Rossi enjoyed his greatest success to date, winning the ECHO and the Amadeus Austrian Music Award. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide

La paloma
Semino Rossi Lyrics

The lyrics of Semino Rossi's song La Paloma soothe the heart with a tale of love and longing. The song is in Spanish and opens with the lines, "If a dove comes to your window, treat it with tenderness, as it represents me. Tell her of your loves, and of my life. Crown her with flowers, as it is mine to do." The song is rich in emotion and imagery and talks about an undying love that may be apart for a while, but never truly forgotten.
The song then picks pace, as the singer implores his love to come to him, saying, "Oh darling, give me your love, come with me to where I live." He then reminisces about leaving Havana, and how no one saw him leave except for a beautiful woman, who followed him, seemingly in love. The song repeats the lines, "Oh darling, give me your love, come with me to where I live" and "And a beautiful woman followed me, seemingly in love."
With these lyrics, Semino Rossi captures the essence of love and the pain of separation. His haunting voice, accompanied by beautiful music, creates a mesmerizing experience that is hard to forget.
