Yes! What a great track that more people need to hear. It's a shame that this isn't widely known. I came to London 4 years ago at 18 to hear this sort of thing and am starting to find my generation loving it more. It is the first time that I have been excited to be alive musically. We're taking this stuff and appreciating it, giving it credit, dancing to it, making our own stuff from it! But... MAINLY! not forgetting it.

This is a super gem of a song. I heard back in 1983 on Kiss FM and Wbls in New York but haven't heard on air play much since. This is a super funky mellow arrangement with excellent vocals.

This song reminds me of a much simpler time in my life. In high school here in Chicago. I was still at home working at McDonald’s 😂 The only bill I had was pager and gas Money for my moms Honda Accord so I can go out on Friday & Saturday nites. Those were the good times.

I first heard this in 1983 when I bought my Edition 6 "Street Sounds" compilation
in Australia. They were a must have for any DJ. All the latest dance tracks,
all 12 inch versions too. This blew away from the word go. Side A - Track 2.

This is the groove! Back in the early 80s when Slave,Aurra and Prince(and his clones) were hittin on rnb radio. I'm sure this groove set dancefloors afire. Folks like Jermaine Stewart,Jesse Johnson,Shalamar's Micki Free were flamboyant & better known at the time and rumor has it Ponse is not with us anymore,but I fell in love with this the first time i heard it.

A funky, epic and unforgettable classic I never, ever get tired of at all. The Hot Mix 5 from the now-defunct station WBMX would always play the middle part starting at 3:43 and I got so tired of them doing that. Now I can finally hear this in full-length. The 1980's is being heavily looked at by Europe and the Usa at the moment. Even though bad things did not go right all the time within the decade. One things for sure that did go right in this decade was the music. People think of the 1980's as the decade that bought forth HipHop, House, Techno and New Romantics music. However, the music of Soul. Disco and Rnb was first class as well. This decade is the only decade that truly can come close to the 1960's in regards to being innovative.

Ahh those memories...September 1983 and this was spinning at all the right clubs in London. The track "I want money" from the same album was a good groove too but didn't come out a single as I remember. It was such a good year for the soul tunes all round.
