In 2007 they decided to join in a tour that started in Spain and ended in Argentina. They each sang the other's most well-known songs and even joined to change and update the lyrics of classics, making fun of themselves.
To see them live was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that brought together generations of listeners in the world's largest Spanish-speaking cities.
They produced a CD and a DVD of one concert in Spain.

Serrat & Sabina Lyrics

No me llores, volveré
Antes que
De los sauces caigan las hojas
Piensa en mí
Volveré a por ti"
Pobre infeliz
"Tú no eres quien yo espero"
Y se quedó
Con el bolso de piel marrón
Y sus zapatitos de tacón
Sentada en la estación
Penélope
The lyrics of Serrat & Sabina's Penélope describe the story of a woman named Penelope who is waiting for her lover to return to her. The song is full of melancholy, and the lyrics tell us about how Penelope waits patiently for her lover's return, meneando el abanico (fanning herself), with her brown leather bag, high-heeled shoes, and Sunday dress. Penelope sits on a bench at the station and watches the passing trains with a sense of longing and sadness as she hopes to see her lover coming back to her.
The song's lyrics describe the tragedy of Penelope's life. She waits for her lover, remembering his promise to come back before the willow leaves fall. Her lover left one day in April, and she has been waiting for him ever since. Penelope's life is frozen in time, and her love is unfulfilled. She is waiting for a love that may never return, and she has lost all hope. The song describes her as a tragic figure in the village, with everyone feeling sorry for her.
Penélope is a beautiful song with a powerful message. It conveys the emptiness and sadness of waiting for someone who may never return. The song's melody and lyrics are haunting, leaving a lasting impression on the listener. The song speaks to the universal human longing for love and the pain of unrequited love.
