Clear Air
Sevdaliza Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

[Verse 1]
From time to time
Building empires
Please don't trust in mankind
You took what's mine
The sweetest pair
For some clear air
[Chorus]
Pollution is all around me
All around me
Our solution
Lies there in clear air
Lies there in clear air
Lies there in clear air

[Verse 2]
These eyes of mine
They sheathe the truth
So used to lies
I believed in you
And there's the key
Of me to you
Now oh oh oh oh let's let this

[Chorus]
Pollution is all around me
All around me
Our solution
Lies there in clear air
Lies there in clear air
Lies there in clear air

[Bridge]
Poison
Yellow is
Yellow is
Poison
Yellow is
Yellow is
Poison
Yellow is
Yellow is
Poison
Yellow is

[Chorus]
Pollution is all around me
All around me
Our solution
Lies there in clear air
Pollution is all around me
All around me
Our solution
Lies there in clear air
Lies there in clear air
Lies there in clear air

Overall Meaning

The song Clear Air by Sevdaliza alludes to various themes including human greed, environmental degradation, and the consequences of blind faith. The lyrics suggest that humanity has grown so obsessed with building empires, that the environment has been badly degraded. Pollution is now evident everywhere, leading to the depletion of the earth's natural resources. The concept of individual ownership is also highlighted in the lyrics, with the singer accusing someone of stealing something valuable from her, which she refers to as "the sweetest pair." The phrase "For some clear air" suggests that the search for fresh air becomes paramount. This line could be interpreted as a metaphorical manifestation of the urgency to preserve the environment.

In the second verse, the singer notes her susceptibility to falsehoods, emphasizing the importance of clarity and truth. The statement "These eyes of mine they sheathe the truth" highlights how perception influences one's understanding of truth, how our previous experiences may lead us to accept untrue facts as accurate. The verse also refers to the idea that keys to our lives and relationships open doors to the truth; life experiences shape what we believe, how we think, and what we determine regarding particular characters in our lives. Therefore, our perceptions can change over time.

Clear Air by Sevdaliza is a thought-provoking song that addresses several contemporary issues, including environmental pollution and the adverse effects of human-generated waste on the planet. The subject matter is particularly relevant as more people have become environmentally conscious, pushing for change in behaviors and attitudes that have contributed to the degradation of the environment. The song relays the message of being mindful of one's actions and their impact on the environment. The importance of seeking clarity amid confusion and the dire consequences of blindly trusting others is another lesson to be garnered from the lyrics.

@alafolieee

some of the movements performed on this video remind me of the capoeira, which is a dance/fight created by the african slaves brought by the portuguese to brasil. it is an amazing form of expression and was kinda a rebellion against everything that was being taken away from them (including their culture). and idk but i thought it would be nice for you to know all that XD
