7th Court
Long Road (Its been a It's been a)
This for them souljas (A long road)
This for them souljas (A long road)
7th Court souljas (Yea)
It's been a long long road pray that things get better
Only thing I know maintain and get this cheddar
We could all take over if we learn to stick together
It's been a long long road pray that things get better
Only thing I know maintain and get this cheddar
Got a hood full of souljas 7th court and that's forever
We could all take over if we learn to stick together
Man you'll probably never ever meet a soulja like me
Grew up in the wood don't many things excite me
Without the whips and the chains, I'm still shining brightly
Got so used to the thangs that you would call frightning
In This world so cold anticipating for the summer
Ima carry this load it's weighing more than a hummer
Feel the weight on my shoulders and it's starting to take me under
Everything was easier back in the days when we was younger
And no I ain't old it seem like time is getting faster
Something better than gold them family times was filled with laughter
It's a few that passed on we open up another chapter
And I wanna get ghost but I ain't tryna be like casper
Remember back in the days no it will never be the same
If I get stuck in my ways wonder will I be able to change
I'm just tryna get paid I face the facts simple and plain
Shed more tears than a baby I'm walking round with all this pain
It's been a long long road pray that things get better
Only thing I know maintain and get this cheddar
Got a hood full of souljas 7th court and that's forever
We could all take over if we learn to stick together
It's been a long long road pray that things get better
Only thing I know maintain and get this cheddar
Got a hood full of souljas 7th court and that's forever
We could all take over if we learn to stick together
Granddaddy died in 07 I can't say who took it the hardest
My heart feeling heavy wanted to fall and hit the carpet
The family lost touch when his death shoulda brung us closer
Been through ups and downs like a roller coaster
And it's some of my fault cuz I ain't the one that like to talk
I'm losing my mind these days I feel so lost
I ain't never thought that I would see this day coming
Ain't gone be here forever so ain't no use of me running
I'm losing myself can somebody come pray for me
I'm on my grind bad for my health it ain't no sleep
I pray to the lord that we all receiving our blessings
Go straight to the board man we all seem like we stressing
These deaths unexpected talking Granddaddy Unc and Tia
Lost so many people when I'm thinking I shed a tear
They say life is a gift so please don't judge me let me live it
Lord give me the strength so I can take on any mission
It's been a long long road pray that things get better
Only thing I know maintain and get this cheddar
Got a hood full of souljas 7th court and that's forever
We could all take over if we learn to stick together
It's been a long long road pray that things get better
Only thing I know maintain and get this cheddar
Got a hood full of souljas 7th court and that's forever
We could all take over if we learn to stick together
The lyrics to Seven's song "The Road" are a reflection on the importance of perseverance and dedication in the face of adversity, and the need to protect and nourish the valuable things that we hold dear. The lyrics begin with a reminiscence of the past, counting the seasons and reflecting on the tears that have been shared with another. The present is then addressed, emphasizing the sacrifices made to protect what is important, even though they may be abundant. The chorus repeats the phrase "Endless Road," underscoring the idea that the journey and the struggle are ongoing, but that this is something that is worth fighting for, even if the cost is high.
The second verse expands upon the idea of protecting what is valued, even in the face of the fact that our ideas and experiences may not be fully understood or shared by others. The importance of communication and expressing what is so crucial is also conveyed. The pre-chorus speaks of the supportive words and strength that we receive from others. The final chorus speaks of the gifts of the past and the fear of losing them, and then repeats the phrase "Endless Road."
Overall, the message conveyed in the song is that perseverance and dedication are essential for what we hold vital. The idea of "Endless Road" evokes the reality that the journey is ongoing, but that this is something worth fighting for, no matter what the cost, as losing what we treasure is too great a loss.
