Last night Lucius Malfoy came over to the dungeons that are Slytherin House and he was reading some of his rambling poetry (you'd think he was a lover of muggle Beat poetry the way he goes on and on) and he agreed to write some special verse for us. We told him we wanted to compose a thank you jam for Kelly and the good people at Enchanted Ceiling Productions. They had just finished designing our new profile image for us. That is why the title of the song is "Show Me The Enchanted Ceiling." Hint! Hint!
But no, Lucius' idea of free verse poetry was terrible, to be honest, with lines like: "neither fingers nor pulse/ neither coffee nor power" ... excuse me? If I wanted word salad I'd listen to muggle poets like John Ashbury and Jorie Graham instead, thank you very much Lucius.
But we had our instruments out and he seemed so grateful to get attention we left his voice in. So, since Lucius also mumbles here are the lyrics to our jam, which has little to do with ceilings, enchanted or otherwise, but you can blame Mr. "All Poetry Must Mean Something" Malfoy for that, we were simply doing our best.
Neither fingers nor pulse.
Neither coffee nor power.
Somewhere else.
Neither air nor sand.
Somewhere else.
Pulse in the air.
Silent in the air.
Neither up nor down.
Somewhere else.
Up in the air.
Stop.
