Since the winding down of Wiiija records Sgt. Rock began recording alongside long term accomplice DJ Scissorkicks under the name “Kicks & Rock”. He also released a few cheeky 7"s on his own imprint GROT, one of these being “No Skool” which caught the ear of Manchester-based funky breaks-oriented label Splank! and was subsequently re-released a few years later in Febuary 2004. Sgt. Rock also released follow up ‘Are You Ready?’ on Splank!
A couple of years later Jim Burke reinvented himself as "Chap-Hop" phenomenon Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer.
