Sorry, I'm replying late to your comment.
I want to "Thank you for your sweet words for my sister.
I wish she would've known someone like you to give her more self-esteem before she passed away.
We lived in a small city in MA., and my sister couldn't escape all the immature people.
Sadly, shortly after I posted my comment here about my younger sister, Cheryl, "she died unexpectedly at home, and her husband found her when he came home from work, July 30, 2021.
Cheryl was not only my baby sister but "My Dearest and Closest Friend. We talked the night before, and never once did it cross my mind or hers that she'd die the following morning.
It was undoubtedly the worst day of my life!
All she needed was medicine from a cardiologist specialist, and if she got the medication, she would've got a fighting chance to live.
She tried to get medical attention at the E.R. and two different hospitals and was turned away, and she couldn't get in to see a cardiologist because they were helping those with Covid.
Unfortunately, most of the people in the hospitals at that time, with Covid weren't vaccinated for the deadly virus and were against the vaccination for the virus, and because of this, a lot of people were sent home who had other medical needs other than Covid, like my sister, were turned away, and were sent home, basically to die, or to deal with their health issues alone.
Life is precious, and we never know what tomorrow brings.
Stay strong, and never let anyone stand in the way of your freedom.
As my sister let people's words get in her way.
She was the"Kindest, Loving, Sweetest and Most Giving Angel. ✝
I'm going to miss her forever! XO

i had a female supervisor , 6'5" - olympic gold medalist in womens basketball 1984- and we became friends. first time she came to my house she laughed and swiped the top of the refrigorator, it came up clean. she said it was the first thing she noticed since it was close to eye level.
she also said she never met a guy who was a true 6'5'. their stated height was with shoes which can add up to 1 1/2". she was 6' 7" in shoes. her college team was undefeated for 4 years. simply strategy. give the ball to Evie - not one person could block her shot and she said she never shot a basket over 4 " away from the hoop.

My younger sister is almost 6ft 3in tall. Kids were cruel to her, calling her every name in the book throughout her school years! Her self-esteem went out the window from not only children but adults alike! She's extremely beautiful with long golden hair & green eyes but yet, she can't see how beautiful she is on the inside & out because of the horrible names she's been called throughout her life!
I wish parents would teach their children not to stare or call their peer's names! Adults who stare at people who are not a so-called "normal height," shame on you! Stop teaching your kids to be cruel to others!

The child learns what their parents taught them by actions or deeds. Sorry your sister had to suffer with the insults. I am six feet tall and I have been lucky that not one person (to my face) has said any disparaging words to me. People need to learn to respect others. Remember the fish stinks from the head down.

I was taller than my teacher in the 6th grade. And he was a man. I quit growing then though- but my sisters were 6' and 6'1" and I have 2 6'8" nephews. Its not easy being tall or large in any way as a girl- or a man really. Stadium seats make you feel like you are giving birth to the person in front of you and you hit your head in cars. Clothing is a whole other struggle. Guess that's why I became a rock solid seamstress!

My Mom told me God made everyone different. She told me how boring the world would be if we all looked alike, dressed alike, etc. Variety is the spice of life. BTW Tom Cruise is only 5'4" he wears lifts in his shoes (plus look at those thick soles) to make him appear taller. I read that he has a voice like a girl and the movie people had to alter his voice so he sounds more manly. Be happy with what you have and remember health is the most important thing to have. Be well.

Since his hand was so huge, compared to my childish one, I could only shake one of his fingers & took off a an inexpensive ring, describing his name, & height, which he sold for $.50! Tall people can reach all the stuff us shorter people cannot. Like making these blasted king size beds, walking back and forth putting on these blasted fitted king size sheets and cleaning the tops of my china Cabnet's and that huge over head stainless steel stove hood, what a pain. Plus they can reach all the way across their windshields to wipe off the snow or water, yeah they have a lot of advantages and us average height critters have to walk back and forth to get such simple chores done, no wonder they have a lot of leisure time. I think they keep those things to them selves because their neighbors would be bugging them all the time for help.

My partner is 6.1 foot and he is one of the "tall boyfriends" introduced to my parents. But my second eldest sister had introduced a 6.8 foot boyfriend 10 years before myself, my eldest, my twin and my youngest sister and their boyfriends are all shorter than mine. Now we all feel like our boyfriends are unmanly dwarfs...
