Charlie Brown
Sha Na Na Lyrics

Fe fe fi fi fo fo fum
I smell smoke in the auditorium
Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me?)

That's him on his knees, I know that's him
From 7 come 11 down in the boys' gym
Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me?)

Who's always writing on the wall?
Who's always goofin' in the hall?
Who's always throwin' spit balls?
Guess who! (Who, me?) Yeah, you!

Who walks in the classroom cool and slow?
Who calls the English teacher Daddy-O?
Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me?)

Who walks in the classroom cool and slow?
Who calls the English teacher Daddy-O?
Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown
He's a clown, that Charlie Brown
He's gonna get caught, just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me?)

So cool to see Johnny on keyboards here, and on "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye"!

I love the "what the heck" look that Jocko gives to the fallen microphone.

The way Bowzer puffs on that cigarette without actually inhaling the smoke you can tell he's a non-smoker. ☺

Bowzer is the bass voice of the Sha Na Na but his voice was a lot higher in this video but he was still great in it.

One of the best things about Sha Na Na is that they don't just stand there and sing, they perform in a big, rousing, fun way. As terrific (vocally) as the original singers of the songs were, a lot of them just stood there snapping their fingers and some of the backup singers were kind of stiff. Sha Na Na pulls out all the stops, with song-related skits, physical comedy, and loads of personality. I wish more singers today would do that instead of all the robotic stomping and gesturing.

@jessie james They did. With a little help from Toni Basil.
