Rama Lama Ding Dong
Sha Na Na Lyrics

Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong (Ooh, ooh-ooh)
Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong (Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong (Ooh, ooh-ooh)
Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong (Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong (Ooh-wah-ooh...)

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
I got a girl named Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
She's everything to me, Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
I'll never set her free, oh she's mine, all mi-ine

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
I got a girl named Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
She's so kind to me, Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
Oh, we just won't believe, that she's mine, all mi-ine

(Bah-bah-ba-ba-ba-ba-bah)

I love her, love her, love her so-o
That I'll never, never let her go
You may be safe that she's mine, all mi-ine (she's mine)
She's mine, all of the time (ti-i-i-ime)

I got a girl named Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
She's everything to me, my Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
I'll never set her free, oh she's mine, all mi-ine
Oh look out!

(Bah-bah-bah, rama-lama, ding-dong, rama-lama, a-ding-ding-dong)

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
I got a girl by my Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
I really love her so, Rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
I'll never let her go, oh she's mine, all mi-ine

(Bah-bah-bah) rama-lama-lama, lama-lama-ding-dong
Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-wah-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...

Just so you know -- Elliott Cahn's opening falsetto hits incredibly high notes, not within reach of my own falsetto, and I'm a natural tenor!

Donny, saw you guys in Montgomery and Tallahassee, great shows!!

Donny, if I might ask you two questions I've wondered about:
1) Obviously you are very well-rehearsed by this time. When you were all still in school, was that the case? Did you have much time to rehearse in the early days, or was a lot of it improvised then?
2) I'm assuming that by 1973 you all pretty much had typical hairstyles for the 70s when you weren't on stage. So was it a lot of work to get the greaser hairstyles you had on stage (I realize some guys had to worry about it less than others . Lol)?

AWESOME! This group might be the first concert I went to. It was a weekend, these glorious guys were one day, Sonny and Cher the next. Or the other way round. It WAS a long time ago.
Still, AWESOME! Mostly covers but they brought that music out to a ton of people through their TV show. They opened up a whole new audience and music owes them a major THANKS!

And they played at Woodstock. Gotta love rock and roll.

Such a fun entertaining band!
My favorite dancer on the far right is now a chiropractor ❤️

Thomas Kendrick

Do you mean "Captain Outrageous" aka "Tony Santini" aka Scott Powell? He's a orthopedic surgeon, not a chiropractor.

These guys were all early Vietnam vets. This was their formative years, before experiencing hell on earth. And the fact they done what they done after what they had been through, I will always appreciate that fact, even though I’m an Irish man from Ireland. Fair play to them.
