Shaaman split up in October 2006 due to personal and musical differences.
Following the break up, the drummer, Ricardo Confessori decided to reform the band under the name "Shaman" with guitarist Leo Mancini, vocalist Thiago Bianchi and bassist Fernando Quesada. Their new album is to be named "Immortal" and is due to be released in 2007.

Shaaman Lyrics

Fall in the world and stray,
My life is turning, turning
But when there's nowhwere else to go
Pray to the Lord, my soul,
My heart is burning, burning
When you think that you're someone else
Someday I'll understand my dreams so deep inside
And then I'm free again to leave the pain behind
Right here in my hand - feelings I can't hide
Someday I'm gone away with nothing but my pride
Somedays I wish to run away
Fall in the world and stray,
My life is turning, turning
But when there's nowhwere else to go
Pray to the Lord, my soul,
My heart is burning, it's burning
You forgive yourself
When you know that you're someone else...
Someday I'll understand my dreams so deep inside
And then I'm free again to leave the pain behind
Right here in my hand - feelings I can't hide
Someday I'm gone away with nothing but my pride
The lyrics of Shaaman's song Pride talk about the struggles one faces in life and the desire to escape from it all. The singer expresses a wish to run away and fall into the world, hoping to find some solace from the hardships of daily life. The constant turning of life, the ups and downs, are expressed as feelings that the singer cannot escape.
In the next stanza, the singer acknowledges that sometimes there are no other options but to pray to the Lord and seek inner strength. The burning of the heart is a metaphor for the intense emotions felt during difficult times.
The chorus talks about the importance of understanding one's dreams and finding freedom from pain. The emotional turmoil is held within the hand that cannot hide feelings. Even though the desire to escape is powerful, the singer acknowledges that leaving with pride is the best way forward.
The song delves into themes of self-discovery, escape, hope, and resilience. It reminds listeners that despite the hardships, it is possible to find the strength within oneself to persevere.
