MARS
Shade Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I crashed the party when I splashed
Down in the surf
The new kid on earth
Dropped out of orbit and into high school
Every day the earth stood still
There was no thrill
Nothing was real
I could break free if i just broke all the rules
There is no life down here
In this poison atmosphere
No one comes near
Rebel teenager from mars
Rebel teenager from mars
One day I'll ride away up there - into the stars
Rebel teenager from mars
The homecoming queen, bored by her scene
New model homes, suburbanite clones
She loved to ride with me in our galaxy
She said the others hate me now
They don't approve of me and you
Now that our story's out, they're hunting us down
They said she wouldn't dare
They chased us everywhere
Everyone stared
Rebel teenager from mars
Rebel teenager from mars
One day I'll ride away up there - into the stars
Rebel teenager from mars
Let's let them live in fear
Burn out this atmosphere
And jet out of here
Let's get out of here
Rebel teenagers from mars
Rebel teenagers from mars
Forever we'll ride free up there

Out in the stars
Rebel teenagers from mars

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Mars," a song by Shade, tell the story of a rebellious teenager who is an alien from Mars. The song starts with the singer crashing into the ocean and coming to Earth as a new student in high school. The alien feels boredom and a sense of disconnect with everything around them, and only finds joy in breaking the rules. The alien feels trapped on Earth, where they cannot breathe and where everyone seems to be inauthentic, robotic suburbanites.

As the song progresses, the alien finds solace in the form of the homecoming queen, who is similarly bored with her life. The two of them are inseparable, despite facing persecution and criticism from those around them. The song ends with the pair deciding to burn out the toxic Earth's atmosphere and escape from the planet once and for all.

The song's lyrics seem to portray the classic feeling of teenage rebellion, but with a unique twist in that the singer is an alien. The song highlights the feeling of being out of place, wanting to break free from the status quo, and finding love in unexpected places. It also touches on the idea of the corrupt nature of social conformity and the desire to escape from it.

Kenshin and Isoroku are both my favorite heroines in the Rance franchise
I feel bummed that Isoroku, Sen and Teru are the JAPAN heroines that had their chance to give birth to rance's children in part 2 but they don't include kenshin even though she deserves it as much as them

She has a route yet they exclude her from being one of rance's known fated woman(though there is another 7 unknown rance's fated woman which i'm pretty sure kenshin must've been one of them)
But still it makes me feels kinda dissapointed :')

Well either way i still enjoyed this glorious franchise :D

Edit: Finished Rance X and yeah my points still stands
I think story wise it would be much better if they add kenshin, urza, and maria as mothers(and fated woman) of Rance's children in part 2
And well part 2 missed a LOT of characters so well that's the two flaws i find, don't get me wrong the story is still amazing but well there are some aspects of it i think they can actually execute better

Her and Yamamoto were the best Rance girls

@saint8257

This brings me back man!
Loved Sengoku Rance. Yamamoto Isoroku route was extremely memorable for me (that ending w/ Yamamoto and Rangi prepping for sortie is still so wholesome and fluffy now that I recall). Can't wait to play 8,9, and 10 when they're all finally translated, though just knowing that it'll end somehow makes me sad lol.

@jeanbryot6765

doubt that happen, i mean cmon they already translate evenicle 2 first
