The band consists of Bryce Yuson and Richie Gomez on guitars, Devin Durrett on bass, Jacob Durrett on drums, and Drew Winter on vocals. The album's lyrical content centers around the undeniable fact of Bilderberg world domination.
Jesse Ventura is known to be an avid fan and supporter of Shadow of the Colossus.
While lots of bands try to stray from being associated with any kind of specific political message or point of view, SOTC make no bones about where they stand.
Their self-titled debut album was released digitally on June 12th via SOTC's official Bandcamp page. Physical copies of the album were delayed due to an issue with the plant they were being pressed at. The band plans to make an announcement as soon as Physical copies are ready for purchase. In spite of having such a new release under their belts, the band are continuing to work on new material.
The Great Divide
Shadow of the Colossus Lyrics

Between the souls that reside
In this cold and calculated reality
Whats in the beyond awaiting me?
My heart is racing, the end is here
Ive been constantly fading these past few years
So much left undone, unfelt, unseen
Deserter I am leaving my hollow shell
Surely destined for heaven or hell
But what if hell is just the earth?
A prison for us all made of dirt
When my soul departs
This void anatomy to explore the beyond
Don't cry for me
I'm far from the evil of humanity
Six feet under, laid to rest
My blood replaced with formaldehyde
Waiting on eternity to return me to this world
The circle of life complete once more
As the flesh melts off my dusty bones
It reveals the frailty of life unknown
All that remains is a stone marker of a memory
Not the mind that used to be
When I cross over the great divide
Between the souls that reside
In this cold and calculated reality
Whats in the beyond awaiting me?
When my soul departs
This void anatomy to explore the beyond
Don't cry for me
I'm far from the evil of humanity
Release a storm of cosmic vigilance
I wish to survey my domain of consciousness
All that has ever been, or ever will be
The infinity of time is all within me
When I cross over the great divide
Between the souls that reside
In this cold and calculated reality
Whats in the beyond awaiting me?
When my soul departs
This void anatomy to explore the beyond
Don't cry for me
I'm far from the evil of humanity
Release a storm of consciousness
The lyrics of "The Great Divide" reflect on the contemplation of death and the unknown that lies beyond. The singer expresses fear, uncertainty and a sense of incompleteness as the end nears. The opening lines highlight the uncertainty of the afterlife, with the singer questioning whether what awaits beyond the great divide is heaven or hell. As the song progresses, the lyrics suggest a sense of detachment from the physical world and a belief in the concept of the soul. The chorus is repeated several times, emphasizing the need to explore the beyond and find answers.
Throughout the song, the singer's tone is one of resignation and acceptance of the inevitability of death. Although the thought of leaving everything undone and unseen is frightening, the singer provides a possible solution of exploring the beyond once the soul has departed from the body. In the end, there is a desire to be released from the confinement of human limitations and to become part of the infinite consciousness of the universe.
Interestingly, "The Great Divide" shares similarities with the video game of the same name. "Shadow of the Colossus" is a game that explores themes of mortality and the unknown. The song may have been written as a tribute to the game or could be a reflection of the game's themes.
