1, Shaggy (born October 22, 1969, in Kingston, Jamaica as Orville Richard Burrell), is a Jamaican reggae artist who takes his nickname from his shaggy hair. He is especially notable for his distinctive sub-baritone voice.
His family immigrated to the United States and they settled in the neighborhood of Flatbush, Brooklyn, located in New York City, New York, USA.
In 1988, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served during Operation Desert Storm during the Persian Gulf War.
On his return from Iraq, he decided to pursue his music career and his first hit in 1993: "Oh Carolina", was a dancehall re-make of a ska hit by the Folkes Brothers. The same year, Shaggy appeared on Kenny Dope's hip hop album "The Unreleased Project". He worked together with producers such as Sting Intl., Don One (who cut his first track), Lloyd 'Spiderman' Campbell and Robert Livingston. He had further big hits, including "Boombastic" in 1995.
He then had a major comeback in 2001, featuring worldwide number-one hit singles "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel," the latter of which was built around Merrilee Rush's 1968 hit "Angel of the Morning" (which was remade in 1981 by Juice Newton). The album Hot Shot, from which those cuts came, would hit number one on the Billboard 200.
However, his 2002 release Lucky Day, and the 2005 album Clothes Drop failed to match Hot Shot's success.
Shaggy performed the theme for Showtime (film), a 2002 movie.
2, Shaggy, a swedish rock/blues rock band from the 1970's. Released one album, "Lessons for beginners"

I bet it wasn't it was your third leg, in between the other two
Alright Woody, you and me we need to have a talk
Cause your always gettin' me in trouble right now this, this ain't funny
Why is it you always gotta be standin' up
Have woman kissin' on your head and stuff
Why is it you never ever seem to have enough
Why can't you ever go to bed and just chill?
Actin' all ill, showin' off your skill
Always tryin' to make me go against my will
Why is it you always up in someone's grill
That playboy shit you did yesterday
Won't you know I got busted anyway
You went home and didn't feel her cat
What kind of dumb shit is that?
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
Why you always gotta be the one to take the lead
You wanna plant a seed, good thing I wore a shield
You think without a brain you seem to like can't even read
So why you think you have the right to tell me what I need
Now I'm tryin' to talk to you you hold your head in shame
You sorry that you came, you think this is a game
It seems to me that I'm the one that's always bein framed
Cause everything you do guess who's the one to get the blame
That playboy shit you did yesterday
Won't you know I got busted anyway
You went home and didn't feel her cat
What kind of dumb shit is that?
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
You banged my friend, you pissed me off, you banged my friend, you boned
All fuzzy, cheap punk, hello, hello, you make me sick
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
All I really wanted to do, was to get ahead in life
To get ahead in life, that's all I really wanted to do, oh
The song "Ahead in Life" by Shaggy is a humorous take on a friend that is always getting the singer in trouble. The title "Ahead in Life" refers to the singer's desire to get ahead in life without distractions, and the friend's antics that are preventing him from doing so. The first verse accuses the friend of getting the singer in trouble by engaging in promiscuous behavior and blaming it on the singer. The second verse accuses the friend of always taking the lead and making decisions on behalf of the singer. The chorus repeats the title of the song, highlighting the singer's desire to move forward and succeed in life. The bridge is a direct address to the friend, accusing him of sleeping with the singer's friend and making him sick.
The use of humor throughout the song is notable. The singer's frustration with his friend is expressed through comical metaphors, such as "your third leg, in between the other two." The playful language and exaggerated accusations create a light-hearted tone that is both relatable and entertaining. The chorus reinforces the theme of the song by emphasizing that the singer's only goal is to "get ahead in life." The lyrics are cleverly crafted to criticize the friend's behaviors, while simultaneously highlighting the singer's ambition.
