En el año 1999 la banda forma su propio sello independiente y edita el Tributo a Bad Religion "Devotos de una mala religión" que tuvo muy buena aceptación dentro de la escena hc-punk y sentaría las bases para el buen recibimiento que tendría el primer LP de Shaila. En el 2000 sale "Progresar" con el que la banda comienza un trabajo a un nivel cada vez más profesional y con el que encuentra buena respuesta en el público que a partir de ese año fue creciendo constantemente, tanto para Shaila como para varias bandas de la escena Hc-Punk de Buenos Aires; "Progresar" ya se ha convertido en un verdadero clásico de hc-punk melódico, rápido y en castellano en Argentina. Durante esos años Shaila fue elegido para telonear a Lagwagon y Down by law en sus visitas a Buenos Aires. Para ese entonces comenzaron las invitaciones a tocar en varias provincias de Argentina, y así también a cruzar la cordillera por primera vez, invitados por BBS Paranoicos donde el buen recibimiento del público hace de Chile una segunda casa que es visitada anualmente.
En el 2002 Shaila entra nuevamente al estudio para darle forma a su segundo disco "El engaño", este disco sigue la línea de lo que era "Progresar" con letras más complejas y una noción más amplia del género hc-punk con temas más variados. Esta placa es aceptada rápidamente por el público y la banda pasa a tocar en locales más grandes como Cemento, que se convertiría en una suerte de casa para Shaila en Buenos Aires, así también comienzan las invitaciones a festivales masivos como el Festival Anti-globalización junto a El otro yo, Cadena Perpetua y Carajo o el Rock al Parque con bandas como Árbol, Raíz, Totus Toss y Nativo entre otras. En octubre de ese año tuvimos el orgullo de telonear a ALL en su primera gira sudamericana en su paso por Buenos Aires y uno de los mejores shows que se vieron por nuestras tierras.
El 2003 encontró a la banda ya afianzada, con shows en todo el país, prácticamente todas las semanas, visitando dos veces Chile por año en shows de 1000 personas y con la participación en festivales como el "Festival contra la guerra en Irak" junto a Attaque 77, Carajo, Horcas, Cadena Perpetua y Cabezones. Durante este año nace el "Melódico Hardcore Tour", un tour que todos los años lleva a la banda por cada vez más localidades de Argentina desde Río Gallegos a S.S. de Jujuy. A mediados de año el sello hardcore Firme y Alerta apoya a la banda en la edición de un disco compilatorio de los dos primeros cassettes, más temas de compilados, rarezas y acústicos que es titulado "Congelando el tiempo", casi simultáneamente sale el primer video-clip de la banda del tema "A la derecha de la cruz" que es emitido por las cadenas de videos. Los frutos de "El Engaño" seguirían, la banda es invitada a la presentación oficial de los nuevos discos de Cabezones y Attaque 77, en julio y diciembre de 2003 respectivamente, ambos se llevaron a cabo en "El Teatro", uno de los lugares más importantes de Buenos Aires.
El verano del 2004 tuvo a la banda en el estudio en lo que sería la grabación de "Mañanas" su último disco que por la prensa y muchos de los seguidores es señalado como el mejor hasta el momento, catorce temas que van desde el tema más hardcore que haya hecho la banda hasta grandes temas punk-pop, el disco más variado y que definitivamente a llevado a la banda a ser mucho más conocida tanto en Argentina como en el resto de Latino América. Durante este 2004 la banda logró en dos giras tocar en las ciudades más al norte de Chile, Arica e Iquique hasta una de las más australes, Puerto Montt, pasando por más de 10 ciudades a lo largo del país hermano; así como también seguir recorriendo toda Argentina. Para mediados de año se editó el video-clip del tema "Cuando no quieras sentir", se participó en el festival "Rock sin Marca" junto a El otro yo, Las Manos de Filippi y Massacre y se dieron los shows más grandes en cuanto a concurrencia de la banda en Cemento. Para fines de años Shaila es elegido para telonear a MxPx en su visita a Buenos Aires y de esta forma pisa por primera vez uno de los lugares más importantes de Buenos Aires, el Estadio Obras. El 2004 terminaría con el show con el que la banda festejó sus primeros 10 años de vida en Cemento lleno.
El 2005, tras la tragedia de Cromañon se volvió en un año muy difícil para el rock en Argentina.
La banda aprovechó el no poder tocar para componer un futuro disco y en la producción del video-clip del tema "Mañanas", segundo corte del disco homónimo. Dentro de las pocas presentaciones que hubo en la primer parte del año se destaca un show a beneficio de los comedores infantiles de Monte Grande en el que se logró juntar más de una tonelada de alimentos donados por más de mil chicxs que fueron a ver a Shaila. Recién en agosto se pudo volver a tocar en Capital y de la mejor manera, en un Niceto Club con entradas agotadas y un show que fue señalado por muchos como el mejor que haya dado la banda.
El 2006 arrancó con una gira de verano por la costa argentina junto a la banda punk Bulldog en la que más de 5000 chicxs apoyaron a la banda, con un cierre de gira en El Teatro dónde se agotaron las 1600 localidades. Ante este gran show El Teatro propuso a la banda armar “el show hc-punk más esperado” SHAILA + ETERNA INOCENCIA en marzo, dicho recital despertó muchísima expectativa en el Ander hc-punk y cumplió con lo que se esperaba más de 1400 chicxs se dieron cita en el recital del género con más concurrencia a la fecha.
En estos momento la banda se encuentra en el proceso de grabación del sucesor de “Mañanas”, las baterías están siendo grabadas junto a Martín Carrizo en su estudio y las guitarras y voces serán plasmadas con Javier Suarez, al igual que “Mañanas”, el disco se lo espera para fines de junio de este año.
