Shaka Ponk is a Paris-based band that has created a sound that blends electro, rock, punk, and dance with a stunning live show that combines advanced digital animation with an unsurpassed display of energy from the band members. Released under the French record label tôt Ou tard/ Guess What! (Yael Naim - Piers Faccini), Bad Porn Movie Trax is composed of fourteen high-energy tracks including singles "How We Kill Stars" and "Do".
Shaka Ponk got its start between Paris and Berlin in 2005 from a concept that brings together music, imagery and activism. The former web designer and imaginative frontman of the group, Frah, along with guitarist, CC, came up with a highly original project that combined conventional rock-n-roll elements (dirty guitar riffs and cardiac stimulating beats) with new techniques such as VJing, which mixes sounds and images around an animated monkey character named Goz who is as much a part of the group as the other five members. Since then, the band has been extremely active online creating complex videos and innovative motion graphic work as well as their own online channel, "Monkey TV".
Shaka Ponk performed in New York City for the first time October 2009 in the celebrated CMJ Musical Festival and on November 7, AOL chose the track "How We Kill Stars" off the new album Bad Porn Movie Trax as the Music Video of the Day. The band released the album in the United States on March 1, 2010.
In 2011 the band added a female singer, Samaha Sam, and released their album The Geeks and the Jerkin' Socks in June, 2011.

'Cause you're a monkey sophistica
Palabra mi amor
You should be talking in color
Palabra mi amor
'Cause you don't care about the future
Palabra mi amor
You're solo dancing superior
Just baila baila superior
P-a-l-a-b-r-a
De darwin à winners
Todos son blousés, beautiful losers
Ah mais pourtant la blogosphère
Relie sans cesse mes hémisphères
Et c'est le barnum (just fuckin' great)
Sur le forum (just fuckin' great)
Ma pomme (fuckin' war)
J'aurais pas dû la ramener
Palabra mi amor
'Cause you're a monkey sophistica
Palabra mi amor
You should be talking in color
Palabra mi amor
'Cause you don't care about the future
Palabra mi amor
You're solo dancing superior
Just baila baila superior
P-a-l-a-b-r-a
Je prend mon temps sans plus attendre
Je bouge mon cul sur mon divan
Le déluge viens pour mes enfants
Et dans les dîners je m'étends
Sur le sujet, évidemment
Je suis le sauveur, je suis savant
Je suis savant
Je suis savant
(Je suis savant)
I am a man made of joy and pain
You are también made of sun and rain
They seekin' me, bipolarity
I am, I play, I say that's ok
C'mon fuck that shit!
Palabra mi amor
'Cause you're a monkey sophistica
Palabra mi amor
You should be talking in color
Palabra mi amor
'Cause you don't care about the future
Palabra mi amor
You're solo dancing superior
Just baila baila superior

The lyrics of "Palabra Mi Amor" by Shaka Ponk are quite abstract and seem to touch on several different themes. The first verse starts with the line "One out of two is less than a dog," which could be interpreted in different ways. It could be a reference to feeling like one is not good enough or not living up to expectations, or it could be a critique of a society that values people based on superficial qualities. The next line, "Eliminate the arrows and the Indians," could be interpreted as a call to eliminate violence and prejudice. The following lines mention a "bluff" that suits "pale faces" and a love of idle talk. The image of "desolate landscapes circulating in our veins" adds to the sense of dreariness and disconnection.
The second verse starts with the lines "I braved the sky, I braved the time / Nothing has any meaning now." These lines suggest a feeling of disillusionment or a sense of having accomplished something but still feeling unsatisfied or unfulfilled. The next lines mention having children to "sweeten the bitter" but recognizing that they may end up as "waste-draggers" looking toward the "greats" while being left behind. The final line of the verse ("Because behind is a past toward the future") seems to suggest that looking back to the past can help us move forward.
The chorus ("Palabra mi amor / 'Cause you're a monkey sophistica / Palabra mi amor / You should be talking in color / Palabra mi amor / 'Cause you don't care about the future / Palabra mi amor / You're solo dancing superior") is quite repetitive but has a catchy rhythm. The lines seem to suggest that the singer's love interest is sophisticated but also like a monkey, that they should be more colorful, that they don't care about the future, and that they are dancing confidently on their own.
Overall, the lyrics of "Palabra Mi Amor" are quite abstract and open to interpretation. The song seems to touch on themes of disillusionment, disconnection, and the search for meaning.

@Mister Dark C'est triste mais ça n'enlève rien à son talent. Quand on écrit et interprète "Les Écorchés Vifs", faut pas s'attendre à une vie pépère
