No hay más vida, no hay
No hay más lluvia, no hay
No hay mas brisa, no hay
No hay más risa, no hay
No hay más llanto, no hay
No hay más miedo, no hay
No hay más canto, no hay
Llévame, donde estés
Llévame
Llévame, donde estés
Llévame
Cuando alguien se va,
Él que se queda sufre más
Cuando alguien se va,
Él que se queda sufre más
No hay más cielo, no hay,
No hay más viento, no hay
No hay más hielo, no hay
No hay más fuego, no hay
No hay más vida, no hay
No hay mas vida, no hay
No hay más rabia, no hay
No hay más sueño, no hay
Llévame, donde estés
Llévame
Llévame, donde estés
Llévame
Cuando alguien se va,
Él que se queda sufre más
Cuando alguien se va,
Él que se queda sufre más
Sufre más...
Sufre más...
The lyrics of Shakira's song, "Despedida", speak about the loss of a loved one and how it leaves a void in one's life. The repetition of the phrase, "no hay más" (there is no more), emphasizes the finality of the departure of that person, and the absence of certain things in life that were once there but are now gone. The lack of rain, wind, laughter, tears, fear, song, sky, ice, fire, and even life itself, highlights the impact of the loss, and the feeling of emptiness that has filled the space.
The chorus of the song, where Shakira sings, "Llévame, donde estés" (Take me where you are), has a tone of longing and desire to be reunited with the person who has left. The pain of separation is amplified, as the one left behind suffers more than the one who has departed.
The song seems to be an emotional ode to grief, but it is also a reminder of the value of the relationships we have in our lives. The pain of losing someone reminds us to cherish those who are still with us, and to appreciate the time we have with them.

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words, I don't just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
So close, no matter how far
It couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
I never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words, I don't just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know, yeah, yeah
So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters

I always love to see artists paying respects across genres. Thanks Shakira!
Ana Diaz
Shakira always had said that her favorite gender is Rock... in her beginnings we can see that influence in her music and her looks ... but her disc company don't allow her to develop that path ..

@Ana Diaz I don't know if her recordlabel not allows her to sing own rock songs, but i saw a concert on YouTube and could see that she breathes rock & roll which i was surprised to see and hear. Only knew her that time from her hits before Waka Waka. None the less, i like her latin songs as well.
