His father, a guitarist and producer of the Reggae band “The Foreigners Crew”, made sure he was immersed into music as a child. So he played keys and ended up singing a few songs for the band.

After studying Music Production and Theory, Classical Piano, Percussion and Vocals at CYM (Centre for Young Musicians), working closely with fellow rapper Incisive, he released his first EP entitled Foolishness Vol.1, and The Shakka Crown Affair, his widely received Concept Mixtape taking influence from The Thomas Crown Affair, where he experiments with Hip-Hop, Jazz, Indie Rock, and Electronic music.

Alongside his latest Shakkapella video-series, where he covers popular songs recreating the music in a beat-box fashion, he is promoting his Mixtape and other songs at shows across the UK (Loughborough, Lincoln, and Brighton to name a few).

I'm saying why not stay focus on your area of expertise and teach. If Seti would have seen this information from the start may have shown Seti the information was deciphered. We have got to stop attacking others on their area of expertise. Debating is a good way of learning as long as egos stay in check and we don't resort to the level of taking one another down. I mean the point is to learn and to grow as a community, right? So what is all this (I'm a destroy you because your belief is different than mine)? Put the information out there, correct it when or if necessary, and let the people decide in which direction they want to go. We take to much delight in destroying each other just because our beliefs are different. I do admit Seti gets seriously emotional sometimes when he disagrees. We got to calm down sometimes and think about the overall objective.

Academia as well as what this generation calls the conscious community is built on debates because you don't know what you know or do not know until your challenged on it whether it's pertaining to information or your character so we were taught to welcome the challenge as an opportunity to grow and prove ourselves and strengthen our character .debating does that this is why most understand what Shakka means when he says he was built for this because we as young adults had to prove ourselves in debates and elders would take us or bring us into other communities to debate and within the communities we come from this is were battle raping comes from which was a subculture of the conscious community and in order to teach the community the community has to ask the question first or put the question out there to be answered so there are levels so no one would step on other teachers for teaching at a certain level example a 1st grade teacher compared to a 10th grade teacher up to college level all is needed as the student grows and is introduce to information/knowledge based on interest and how far they want to go because some are OK with just the basics and that's find too you can build a business manage your finances with just knowing addition and subtraction but the love of numbers will have you wanting to advance your knowledge in mathematics with calculus or trigonometry teaching mathematics at an advanced level but again the new students have to decide what level suites them by were they put their energy but also the teachers have to push their level of knowledge within that circle to advance their field whether through the love of teaching the love of math ego or even money ... that's my preception so it's not so much what sparks the debates/question etc but the overall advancement within the subject matter.

I’m new to all this but I like some of Seti’s videos although it’s really annoying how he mispronounces and misspells so many words. To me that shows that he doesn’t study his topics enough to accurately present on them and maybe he’s rushing to make a point. That said I like his personality and he does have some interesting videos.

Just remember when growing up as kid, how our African elders would give speeches at weddings or ceremonies, with such unsurpassed public performance in the use of oratory. The riches of the African Oral Traditions speak for themselves! They valued a lot, the use of language. Shakka is spot on! Future generations of our people will cherish a lot, Shakka's scholarship! He is one of our top griots in our modern age! No wonder Dr. King or even Obama are some of the best Orators!
