As of November 1, 2010 his main YouTube channel is the third most subscribed channel of all time behind Nigahiga, and RayWilliamJohnson.

Shane Dawson was born with the name Shane Lee Yaw, but changed it to Dawson because casting directors wouldn't call him back because they thought he was Asian. He chose the name Dawson after Jack Dawson because his favorite movie is Titanic.

He joined YouTube on March 10, 2008 and is now the third most subscribed YouTuber with 2,175,513 subscribers.

Shane Dawson was born July 19, 1988 in Long Beach, California and moved to Los Angeles when he was 21.

As a teenager in high school, Shane was over-weight and got bullied a lot for that, and then lost 150 pounds on Jenny Craig. He worked for Jenny Craig with his mom and brother, but got fired along with his mom, brother and many other co-workers after he uploaded a video of himself pole dancing in the Jenny Craig building.

Dawson has 3 channels. His main channel where he uploads all his usual stuff. His second channel where every monday he uploads an Ask Shane and once a month Viewer Orgy Time. His third channel is called Shane, which is his iphone channel, where he uploads unedited videos from his iphone. On his main channel, he started a new series in October 2010 called "Shane and Friends", which is basically all his characters, (Shanaynay, Ned the Nerd, S Deezy, Aunt Hilda, Shane's mom, and Paris Hilton), and each character talks and does their own thing for a couple minutes.

Shane Dawson has announced in some of his videos that he is making a 30 minute pilot for a possible TV show called SD High, which is based on two of his videos, High School Drama and School Dance Disaster, it's going to be aired on his main YouTube channel, and could possibly be a TV show.

If we saw the whole process of the pizza being made I doubt it would look weird because even if the “cutting” tool they were using was super heavy and had drag on it when cutting the only thing that would drag and shift a little is the soft toppings on the pizza, so why do the pizzas that customers get have weird half and half ratios and different sizes? Not to mention some of the slices being super skinny and others really wide, what’s up with that cutting anyways? (It could be noted that it’s human error because of the heavy “cutting” tool they use but still) Somethings just not adding up. And just to reiterate, the overall structure of the pizza dough shouldn’t be affected besides being cut through because it’s been cooked and solidified so no matter how much drag that “cutter” has it would never be able to change the actual shape of each slice like that unless the dough is still raw, which I highly doubt because their pizzas are always cooked all the way through.

Anyways, that’s my two sense hope you enjoyed me aggressively explaining why this might not sound all that right ^^.

The explanation matpat gave sounded right until you think about harder and wonder that if they rounded out the dough in a perfect circle shape and placed the toppings on it then cooked it perfectly, you would assume the dough would stay put in its shape. But then all of a sudden the moment the wacky “cutter” comes in it distorts the whole pizza and now you have super tiny slices and big slices. It just doesn’t really add up with logic you know what I mean?

When you got cancelled in 2020, I believed in you even more after you apologiesed & owned your mistakes. I always check up on your channel if you're back. I also love your 2021 halloween video that's why I am here, I was supposed to re-watch that because I suddenly remembered you, because the last time I checked your channel was December, but you didn't upload until Feb 2022. I relate with you in some ways, especially when you talk about depression & suicidal thoughts & all of that. Me too have been suffering for over 10 yrs. with depression, anxiety, & some sort of personality disorders. Suicide is also a constant thought in my mind. So, your videos are really like a therapy for me. I just want to say those. can beat ya (I’m older so of course I can) but it’s funny you say you’ve watched him since 7th grade and that’s also when I started to sneak his videos past the parents. Now my mom watches them with me & my sis now that we’re in our 20s😂 but his channel was very different back then & even more explicit but that’s what confused me about some of the controversy because no it doesn’t make it okay, but a lot of the films & shows back then were just like that. They would push taboos just for the heck of it without actually believing in the opinions it could seem like it was suggesting (i.e. Scary movies, any parody film ever, Beevus & Butthead, etc) so it wasn’t surprising that Shane a teen from that era would be influenced to want to make shock-worthy stuff whether it was right or not. Luckily, this generation seems to be a lot more level-headed than us (and I’m 26 so I’m probably the generation right under Shane—so weird cause I remember watching his vids when he was 22 & thinking that was so old 😂 he certainly has done so much more than I have at my age! Sad that all the controversy has kinda canceled that out) so y’all prob don’t watch that kind of entertainment & I don’t really recommend it, I never got why people liked it so much except for some reason Shane’s humor would be the only reason I’d put up with that style. Cause of enlightenment from my generation & the ones that followed that finally realized “hey this actually has negative effects” that’s what brought on all the controversy but it becomes like debates about other eras’ whether they get a pass because that’s how the culture was at the time & how people “fit in” or “stood out”. I think it should be a little bit of both as long as they acknowledge growth from it & understanding the wrongs and I think Shane has then a bit of understanding on other peoples’ parts needs to be given too. It’s an equal give & take. But anyways, my whole spiel is that since I’ve literally grown up with him it’s hard not to always care for him in the background as life changes for all of us. And I think that the core of his heart is good whether people want to acknowledge it or not (Ryland & his family wouldn’t still be there if it weren’t—if anything’s problematic it’s the hardcore Christian life his family had growing up that some prejudices could have come from that he was used to & subconsciously came through his work but I don’t think they were ever HIS views or intentions), he deserves to still be cared for and we shouldn’t feel bad to care for another fellow human being who also makes mistakes like everyone does.

I don’t rly know what he did but people have to remember 10 years ago was a totally different time and mentality to now. People thought differently on many topics. I’m sure if we dig around everyone’s feeds and every comment or joke they ever made in another ten years the whole world will end up cancelled. Cancelling is just stupid and pointless glad to see these ppl just carry on making videos and ignoring it. I mean definitely evolve, change, become a better / nicer person but living in the past is a waste of time. Shane, local socal wedding florist here. Get married somewhere that means a lot to you guys, wear whatever the fuck you want, invite your family and closest friends, do a buffet and have crumbl be your desserts. Trust me, it’s worth it and you don’t have to do anything traditional to have a gorgeous, fun day

Yes! Totally agree! When I got married, I got so sucked into the whole wedding craziness. It’s hard not too but you don’t need to have some big crazy expensive wedding to have fun. We ended up having a tornado during our ceremony which destroyed the whole outdoor reception area and people ran screaming into the building.. it actually was pretty scary lol but after we had a good time

This video just proved to me that Ryland is the best person for Shane. He's like his anchor. He supports him, but also makes sure he doesn't get exhausted by trying to bite more than he can chew. He's been with him in good times and in bad. Shane is lucky to have him.

Have you seen how ryland is behind the camera on shanes instas or on rylands own podcast? He is very unlikable and was causing so much drama, on one of the insta lives he was going off on one in the background about youtube drama and his opinions where so dumbb, on his podcast he was being rude and always making it about himself never letting his costartalk at all. I really dislike him, always have especially with the way he acts. He appears very different in videos because he fakes it, but its not hard to go see videos of the way they acts. Some people say he is actually worse than shane, he acts like a mean girl in highschool

Unfortunatly alot of his fanbase are the same, they where young when he made offensive or creepy videos so they're too young to understand how bad it was.
