Jewry disappeared from the spotlight for a decade after the break-up of The Fentones, working in music management and performing at small venues with his wife Iris Caldwell, the sister of Rory Storm. During the early 1970s, however, Jewry acquired a new persona, Alvin Stardust, as he successfully cashed in on the glam rock bandwagon. His name was given to him by Michael Levy (later Lord Levy) who owned his record label. Magnet Records. His debut hit was "My Coo-Ca-Choo" in 1973. Stardust had other chart successes with the hits - "Jealous Mind" (UK No. 1), "You, You, You", "Red Dress" and "Good Love Can Never Die". In total, he amassed seven Top Ten entries, in a chart span lasting almost 25 years.[2]

Shane Fenton & The Fentones Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But oh, what those five foot could do
Has anybody seen my girl?
Turned up nose, turned down hose
Never had no other beaus
Has anybody seen my girl?
Now if you run into a
Five foot two, covered with fur
Betcha' life it isn't here
But could she love, could she woo?
Could she, could she, could she coo?
Has anybody seen my girl?
Five foot two, eyes of blue
But oh, what those five foot could do
Has anybody seen my girl?
Turned up nose, turned down hose
Never had no other beaus
Has anybody seen my girl?
Now if you run into a
Five foot two, covered with fur
Diamond rings and all those things
Betcha' life it isn't here
But could she love, could she woo?
Could she, could she, could she coo?
The lyrics to Shane Fenton & The Fentones’s song "Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue" describe a search for a girl who is five feet two inches tall with blue eyes, who possesses a certain kind of charm that is not common in others her size. The lyrics imply that the singer of the song knows the girl well and is looking for her. The lyrics describe the girl's physical appearance, which includes a turned-up nose and turned-down hose. The song also mentions that the girl has never had other beaus. The song suggests that the singer is looking for the girl for a specific purpose, potentially a romantic reason. The song's playful melody and lyrics create a sense of whimsy, evoking memories of the 1920s.
