Produced by U.S. producer Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes - whose reputation grows in the U.S.), "MEEUWS2" gets wild reviews. 2003: "MEEUWS2" released in Switzerland, Italy, Greece and Canada. ?In the springtime, "MEEUWS2" also gets a release in the U.K. and receives more than warm reviews from the press (The βNMEβ rates it to a fine 7/10, βThe Independentβ raises up to an 8/10). ?Sharko then tours in july with English band Black Nielson thoughout England and Scotland. The tour ends at the Metro club in London (regarded as "concert-of-the-week" for βTime Outβ magazine). Amiable Belgian's UK debut." ?NME April 2003??2004: "III", Sharko's third album is out in Benelux and France. ?This new album reveals a much more mature songwriting.?Mixed by Ben Findlay (Peter Gabriel), it includes epic songwriting ("President"), phony storytelling ("Rip off a phone call"), funny songs βΓ la Prince-Beckβ (βLuv Mixβ), intense alienation (βBathβ), lynchian colours (βCar Wasβ) and crowd sing-alongs such as βExcellentβ.
Lucent single "Spotlite" is released and gets heavy radio airplays in France.?A massive tour is scheduled.
2006: After a one-year hiatus, Sharko returns. Having dealt with a severe breakdown, BartholomΓ© comes back reluctantly with uncertain feelings.
Sensing an urgency to reach a new (if not higher) level, Sharko contacts and convinces London-based producer Dimitri Tikovoi (Placebo, Goldfrapp, The Horrors) to take control. Songs are heavy and dark, expressing issues BartholomΓ© no longer wants to hide, Tikovoi pushes them even further.
He dares the band to love the idea of vertigo before guiding them towards breath-taking heights.
2007: Brutal, profound, moody, but definitely sincere, fourth album "MOLECULE" is released in Belgium in january.
Single "Motels" is embraced by radios all over their home-country.
Praising the strong production and the straighter songwriting, "MOLECULE" gets wild reviews from convinced critics.
After having sold out the mythical "Ancienne Belgique" in Brussels, they embark on a massive tour to promote the album.
March 2007 sees the release of "MOLECULE" in France and Switzerland.
Soon followed by Australia and New Zealand in may 2007.

Sharko Lyrics

Interrupted peter pan
And you shake your body
And it's not that fair
Have a beep this big
Interrupted be a man
Have a solid sore
And it's not that far.
U got us on the moon
U got us drinking booze
U got us teacher's pet
U got us with respect
U got us on the moon, U got us
And you move your body
Ain't it upstairs silicone?
And you move that up
Makin' too much noise
U got us on the moon U got us with a spoon
And you shake your honey
Makin' "Springer ?s oil".
The lyrics of Sharko's song "U Got Us" are somewhat enigmatic and open to interpretation. However, there are some possible meanings that can be derived from these lyrics. The song seems to be somewhat critical of individuals who use their physical appearance or sexuality to manipulate others. The opening lines: "So you move your body, Interrupted peter pan, And you shake your body, And it's not that fair," suggest that the singer is addressing someone who is using their body as a weapon to get what they want. The reference to "Interrupted Peter Pan" could imply that this person is immature or self-absorbed. The next lines: "Have a beep this big, Interrupted be a man, Have a solid sore, And it's not that far," suggest that this person has some physical attribute that they are using to manipulate others. The phrase "interrupted be a man" could imply a lack of masculinity or integrity.
However, despite the criticism, the song also contains an element of admiration for this person. The chorus repeatedly affirms that "U got us on the moon," suggesting that this person has achieved some kind of incredible feat or has an uncanny ability to control others. The lines "U got us drinking booze, U got us teacher's pet, U got us with respect" suggest that this person is able to influence people from all walks of life and elicit various reactions from them.
The lyrics also contain some surreal imagery, which further adds to their cryptic quality. The line "Ain't it upstairs silicone?" seems to make little sense in the context of the song, but could be a metaphor for something artificial or fake. The phrase "Makin' 'Springer ?s oil'" is also unclear, but could be a reference to the controversial talk show "The Jerry Springer Show," which often featured guests engaged in provocative behavior.
