I love this song...I know it was just a one-hit wonder for her, but I can say that it's helped me in talent shows when I have to take it all the way back to the 1980s when disco evolved into funk even more. Thank God it did and also thank Him for allowing us to be able to listen to the good stuff and remember how we didn't have "sets" or gangs... This my jam! One of my all time favorites! I was 3 years old when this record was released. Now you may wonder how in the hell does he know about this song. Well my brother is 12 years older than me and this was his era. He was a DJ back in the 80s. My mother was always hip and kept current on music. I grew up hearing this music being played everyday by them. I'm from a city that loved Disco and is the birthplace of House music so these kind songs were always in rotation. Also songs back then had a longer life span. Anybody who was a teenager or an adult then I'm so jealous because you all had the best generation, best parties and best music then.

So many memories this song invokes--a time without iphones, computers, and generally a lot of unnecessary junk we carry around today because we think we have to and we have to! One of my and the most iconic songs of the time. I still love this so much and now have it on many mix CD's I make. This really reminds me of picking up on a certain guy I had a huge crush on in about 1981 or 82 in Phoenix, AZ at HotBods with it's neon coloured dance floor! Yes, I got him that night too when this song was playing. Asked him to dance and we ended up together for many years. So, this song has some damn good memories associated with it for me!
