On this recording they will unleash a brutality and metallic proficiency unseen in their previous efforts, backed by a raw, heavier sound. At the helm of this attack is the ever present guitar work of Joe None, articulate and yet devastating, backed by the youthful Danny their dual attack leaves nothing to be desired.
Through the headaches of lineup changes and fill ins, both Chris Rage (Fury of Five), Joe Hardcore (Punishment) and Jason Bailey (Figure Four) bring to the table the final elements to bring Shattered Realm to a level unseen previously. With their focus where it belongs and a slew of new songs, it won’t be long before Shattered Realm has torn down the roof at your local venue. Expect to see them out this summer and fall in support of both their releases and the Tour Is Hell DVD late this year throughout the US, Europe, and the World.

The lyrics of Shattered Realm's song Devil In Disguise depict the singer's disdain towards a deceptive person. The opening lines "You choke this world upon a massive grove of lies, false pretences and broken promises collide" suggests that the person in question has been falsely representing themselves in order to manipulate others. The singer has witnessed this behavior and is now disillusioned with the individual as they have been "played the fool just one too many times".
The subsequent verse "I abhor your wretched ways, you're the serpent in Eden, you're poison to all who can't see past that crooked smile" only serves to further establish the person as a manipulator. The singer sees through their "games" and "know[s] where [they're] weak" indicating that they are well aware of the individual's true intentions. The chorus declares that the individual is a "devil in disguise" and that their "beauty is wearing thin". The singer suggests that eventually, the rest of the world will also see through the individual, and they will have nothing.
The final verse "I hope you drown in your oceans of deceit, there'll be no mourning or thoughts of remorse" suggests a level of bitterness towards the individual in question. The singer seems to have lost all respect for them and wishes for them to suffer the consequences of their actions. Overall, Devil In Disguise is an angry and disillusioned track that speaks to the feelings of betrayal and disappointment that arise when someone's true intentions are revealed.
