Soluk
She Past Away Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Koru kendini bu veba yayılıyor
Her yerde örümcekler
Hadi kazı mezarını
Bak yine gün uyanıyor

Yakıcı güneş doğuyor
Küflü zihinlerde
Ahmaklar uluyor

Asimilasyon?

Hayır!

Bizden değilsen yan diyor
Fetva yayılıyor

Overall Meaning

The opening line "Koru kendini bu veba yayılıyor" of She Past Away's song Soluk can be translated to "Protect yourself, this plague is spreading". This could be interpreted as a warning to be careful of the negative and harmful influences around us that can affect our mental state. The following line, "Her yerde örümcekler" which translates to "Spiders everywhere", could also be seen as a metaphor for the traps and snares set by society and life that we must navigate our way through.

The next two lines, "Hadi kazı mezarını, bak yine gün uyanıyor" can be translated as "Let's dig our graves, and look - day is breaking again". This imagery may signify the never-ending cycle of birth and death, where we must dig our own graves and face the inevitability of our own mortality. The line "Yakıcı güneş doğuyor, küflü zihinlerde, ahmaklar uluyor" which translates to "The scorching sun is rising, in moldy minds, fools are howling" can further reinforce the idea that we are surrounded by negative influences and must protect ourselves from them.

The final lines, "Asimilasyon? Hayır! Bizden değilsen yan diyor, fetva yayılıyor" can be translated to "Assimilation? No! If you're not one of us, you'll burn, the edict is spreading". This line can be seen as a call to reject conformity and maintain one's uniqueness and individuality. It also highlights how we can be ostracized and punished for our differences, as society tends to favor those who conform to the norms and values of the majority.

This is the last call
Your God is mistaken

See the light

Remember the wise
who leads the way
Don't bow down
with your awareness of nothingness

A faulty design, its end is near
Civilization, that was budded with lies
is rotting day by day

The chorus "Yalanlarla filizlenen medeniyet çürüyor giderek" is so poetic and so Turkish to be worth to learn, means "The civilization that sprouted with lies is rotting gradually"

Blut Royale

The lyrics are as ominous as they are elegant. The song seems to be, indeed, about a civilization in decay, and the narrator is inviting the audience, those who know things are falling apart, to join him and others into salvation through guidance by a wise prophet

@Blut Royale I think he's talking about Lucifer. Lucifer is generally described as wise in Turkish satanism books.
