This song literally brings to my knees...every time. I have been through so much pain, hurt, disappoint, betrayal, and loss in my life. It literally feels like the world is crushing the life out of me. "Take me far away from the battle!!" The only reason I am still here is because of the strength I have found in Christ Jesus. Well said. Can relate as evidenced by the following sentences delineating how we use music to deal with pain and stir up faith. The negative influences of this world are designed to make our heart sick through emotional & physical pain resulting in a given person turning to music as one source of comfort to the body. The painful realty of this existence gives rise to the birth of music in two forms, earthly & HEAVENLY. Earthly music speaks to the experiences of this world through the singer-song writer’s eyes. Oftentimes drug use (i.e. alcohol, smokes, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, benzos and propofol to name a few) is intertwined with the survival of an artist to deal with the pressure of performing in order to stay relevant in the music industry, and to serve as fuel for creativity. As a result, music celebrities develop a tendency to sin against their body, through excessive drug use, for not measuring up to or to satisfy the demands of their music. Any earthly joy they experience is darkened by the heavy burden of performing and the loss of privacy.

The end users of their music become fans because the lyrics are relatable and the sound of the singer’s voice & rhythm helps them cope with the pains of this reality. Unfortunately, this band aid approach is only a time out from the hurt and in the meantime we are fortifying its wall with painful memories waiting in line. Who can save us from wounds that are silent, wordless and cruel all the while tearing us apart inch by inch on the inside, which could radically accelerate the demise of the human body? I will use caps as emphasis to show the honest reverence for GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY when writing about HEAVENLY music in the paragraphs below.

That INVINCIBLE DIVINE be our HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO THROUGH HIS SON’S MISSION HAS INSPIRED believers to write songs that sing of HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE to deal with emotional & physical pain, economic instability, mortality and the emotional instability of others with the motive of winning over souls for HIS KINGDOM. The melody & theme of HEAVENLY music is hateful and intolerable to the devil, a spirit which causes us to be blinded of the effects of sin and is responsible for the woes of this world such as melancholy, anguish, tribulation and trial. These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY. This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal.

GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV), and hymns/songs giving praise to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within by transforming your body/temple into a meeting place for you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends through the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. Once the blessed assurance is known in prayer (through the confession of wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, combine with admitting that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and believing in one’s heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead to deliver us from sin's guilt) the world can never take it away because the world didn’t give it to you.

Bless you for this song, I tried so hard to lose my 60 or 70 pounds a second time in my life and how I struggled but one day I just laid every pain and hurtful lies of others and so much more at the feet of my Almighty God. I've added snacks back into my diet instead of going hungry until dinner time but I eat earlier and stop before I am full, it was like the pounds started melting away when I was doing it to be healthier not thinner. I'm back to 120 which is more than I intended to lose. My goal was 125-135 and I had been stuck at 150 for years and like I said I laid all of my problems, struggles, sorrow, pain, and anger at the Lord's feet and seriously the weight loss has been about my health getting my triglycerides and cholesterol back under control and when I placed my focus on him and gave him all of it to do His thing with I knew it would be whatever was best for me because all that God wants for us is good for us and we can trust him to be strong when we are weak. I love this song , glory be to God for the song which would never have been written had you not known the struggle. God brings good from and to all things if we will just believe in Him. I listened to what you said before you started singing. I'm crying. Let me tell you, I almost fast forwarded you talking just because I wanted to listen to you sing. I hadn't heard this particular song and being that I LOVE SELAH and LOVE hearing your voice ( especially yours but actually all you guys are wonderful!) I was curious to hear this one. Anyway, I didn't skip your words, your testimony that you spoke and shared so truthfully. I must admit I WAS SHOCKED. HOW HORRIBLE TO KNOW THAT WHAT THAT BOY SPOKE SO CARELESSLY THAT DAY LEFT SUCH SCARS ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL HEART. I was shocked really because I never heard you personally share anything and found your TRUTH to be completely opposite of how I see you. I NEVER thought anything either way about your weight. No joke. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your voice!!! The songs you sing are so comforting to my life, my heart. Sung with your voice I feel like I'm so loved by the Lord it is hard for me to explain to you in my words. You are so pretty. Your face, the color of your eyes and hair. .the way you dress. Your hands. This is so crazy to me. I guess that's why they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I think everybody agrees that you are beautiful... but I also guess because the evilone seeks to attack and destroy what IS BEAUTIFUL( not only to us but especially to God) this boys comment was put in his heart to attempt to ultimately destroy your confidence most likely so it would ALWAYS hold you back. But PRAISE OUR GREAT FATHER who held to His Word which tells us that what our enemy intends for evil, God uses for good to accomplish in those who are called according to HIS purpose! Yay!!! I have struggled with anxiety for years since my divorce and raising two boys by myself. I have tried everything possible and I’m on lots of medicine ( strictly under my doctors care) but I am tired of living like this. I’m Blessed and this anxiety is holding me back. I never heard of Amy or listened to her music. While looking for favorite Christian songs, I saw this listed and was drawn to it. Her testimony was heartfelt. I totally wasn't expecting such a beautiful song and a vocal of an angel. I will look for her other music. Thank you for being faithful and listening to God. He will use you to bless so many others with the gift He gave you.

what a beautiful testimony. I was at 160 lbs. and lost 7 already and I too am a singer/vocalist. I always worry that my voice is not enough and that I need to also look good. I prayed about it and it IS God who will do it for me, solely on faith.

Your testimony came on and I didn’t even know what you were going to start talking about but I just needed to hear something I was hurting so bad because of a guy who just left me and I felt used by him. The feeling of being used sexually by someone... hurts to the core of your being.. (Off track as a Christian to boot) ... being in so much pain, Gods timing is impeccable... this song is perfect!
Thank you for sharing g about your painful memory that God healed.
