I'm predicting the next Shrek movie it will have something to do with Donkey's past. Theories have it that Donkey used to be Pinocchio's old friend Johnny Candlewick (Not Lampwick). If this theory is confirmed true, than we might get something like "Shrek 5: Donkey Come Home". And I got general outline of what I'm predicting will happen:

1. Donkey's dragon wife leaves and takes the donkey/dragon kids with her.
2. Donkey gets depressed and keeps looking deep into candles.
3. Shrek's 3 kids decide to throw a surprise birthday party for Donkey, but it gets botched up when Shrek puts a lit candle on Donkey's "waffle cake". At that point, Donkey goes mad and kicks everything and brays like an actual donkey. He then runs away and Shrek drops the title, "DONKEY! COME HOME!"
4. The kids decide to follow Donkey and bring him home, but Pinocchio volunteers to chaperone for them because he suspects that he knew Donkey from long ago.
5. Donkey goes to a seaside Italian-themed town and finds the house where he supposedly once lived. Inside the house, he sees an old man sitting in a chair and looking at a photo of himself and a young boy. Donkey tears up.
6. The Evil Coachman finds out that Donkey is in town and kidnaps him to put him in the Salt Mines. The kids follow, they get lost in "Pleasure Island" for a while until one of the Shrek boys grows ears and a tail, and right when they spring Donkey from the mines, Shrek, Fiona, and Puss-In-Boots arrive to save everyone.

Once upon a time, there was a film called Shrek(page flipped). It was the film that taught everyone around that animation could be for both kids and adults. And it showed by being the first animated film to win Best Animated Feature at the Oscars as well as being nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay(page flipped). Every animated film, both big and small, has been inspired by it in some way, shape or form(page flipped). Many even tried copying the formula that Shrek had, including their biggest competitors, but none prevailed(page flipped). To me, Shrek, as well as Spirited Away, The Iron Giant and everything Cartoon Saloon, will always be the best animated films...and the best films of all time.

I had the honor to meet the composer Harry Gregson-Williams himself. He visited my college CalArts yesterday, and I attended a film/video score lecture he presented. The very first piece he performed and played on MIDI was none other than fairytale. My heart melted from nostalgia and childhood joy hearing the music and Shrek reading through a large high quality stage speaker system. He also played us a scene from each of the other Shrek films with the modified versions of fairytale. I also got to be one of the few people in the world to see certain Shrek footage without music as an exclusive behind the scenes. What I told him was that his simplicity combined with versatility made his works powerful, and he appreciated that I noticed. It was an amazing experience.

Once upon a time , there was a studio called "DreamWorks."
They made a lot of great movies like "Madagascar", "how to train your dragon", and "kung fu panda."
But the most remembered DreamWorks movie was "shrek" , a movie about an Ogre that fell in love with a princess.
Throughout the world shrek had been loved by many people, both young and old.

I’m struggling to hold my tears back as I’m hearing this. This movie, along with other DreamWorks movies, was my childhood. I remember watching it over and over again, never satisfied by its beauty. A huge and important part is played by the score: I’m sure that if even 100 years would pass I’d still be able to recognize it.
Aside from that, the story and the characters are also obviously perfect.
It truly made a place for itself in my memory. It’s unforgettable. It’s moving. It’s beautiful.

DreamWorks is an underrated gem. Sure I grew up like other kids watching both classic and modern Disney movies, and I still treasure Disney, but I was always attached to DreamWorks. I think it's because they're the underdogs. DreamWorks has a lot of movies and shows but a lot of them weren't well received by critics, but I always watched them every chance I got as a kid. I love DreamWorks. From El Dorado to Shrek to How To Train Your Dragon to Madagascar to Home to Megamind to Kung Fu Panda, I love every movie. At Disney you have to be a hero or a princess. At DreamWorks, you can be an alien, a lion or giraffe, a panda or tiger, a dragon or viking, anything you want to be. Disney still gave me some good memories, but I will never forget how while all the other girls wanted to watch Frozen for the hundredth time, I would rather watch Shrek. Just hearing the song brings back great memories. I hope that DreamWorks stays for a long time and is known far and wide just as good or just at least close to Disney's level. I wouldn't be surprised if this was originally supposed to be a jab to Disney's "When you wish upon a star" melody, but hearing this melody at the end of Puss in Boots TLW with that Shrek teaser, I was seriously getting emotional(again) at the thought of seeing Shrek once again in the big screen after so long gosh...
Who would've thought that a movie that was meant to be the antithesis of the Disney classic fairytale movie never meant to be successful and regarded as the black sheep project by its own studio, would have captured the hearts of so many people of older and newer generations. I wouldn't have it any other way.

All Star was originally supposed just to be music to help with an animation test with it being set to be replaced with an original score later on, but they found that the song and the timing worked so well, that they kept it in there, and even got Smash Mouth to record a cover of “I’m a Believer” for the film.

I love Shrek’s use of pop culture music more then the next guy, but I feel like not enough people appreciate the actual score. It really captures that romantic fairytale vibe and is used to beautiful effect in the more warm, emotionally ernest parts of the film.
