The lyrics to Shimshai's song Las Flores are a reflection on the cyclical and transient nature of life. The song opens with the singer being carried by the wind, without knowing where it's taking them or feeling the need to know. The verses are filled with insights and teachings that the singer has gained through their experiences. They speak of the truth being something that cannot be altered, and the importance of living in the essence of one's being. The chorus likens life to the growth of flowers and the flow of a river, both of which move steadily to where they need to be. The singer expresses gratitude for the gifts that they receive and prays that they will continue to be guided in this way.
As the song progresses, the singer asks the listener to look within themselves and see what they can find at the center of their being. They encourage them to let go of the past and flow with the current of life, acknowledging that we are all drops in the great ocean of existence. The bridge of the song speaks of the mystery of creation residing within the depths of one's heart, and the importance of finding healing there. The song ends with the phrases "be human, be alive, be whatever you are," emphasizing the value of simply existing and learning from one's experiences.
